We stayed here 2 yrs ago and this is the first time we have ever returned a second time to the same destination, it is that good!
Mick from Lion property services collected us from the airport and always provides a welcoming efficient service, and is the first point of contact for anything you need whilst on holiday
The value for money is fantastic, the apartment is literally 10 paces from the door to the pool so whilst it isn't a private pool you have the ease of access of one
Only very slight negative is that there is no vacuum in the apartment, I know that storage is tight but something like a G tech cordless would fit and therefore stop my slightly OCD wife going into meltdown!! Lol
We have already booked for next year
We flew with Balkan airways, which was the usual budget airline, but Bourgas airport was a welcome change - very small which meant we got through to landside in 20 minutes from landing.
We were met by Mick who acts as on site contact and maintenance, and will collect you from the airport by prior arrangement which was a very welcome service; he also got us a welcome pack in as well.
The journey to the apartment only took 25 minutes and it unfortunately took us through Sunny Beach at midnight - it was the very personification of a sordid, debauched hell hole, perfect if you are on a stag night, but absolutely horrible for a family holiday. Fortunately St Vlas, whilst only 4 miles away could be in a different world.
The apartment was pretty much perfect. It has been fitted out with everything that you would need for a holiday, but its best point was the location. Literally 5 metres from one pool, 30 seconds walk to another one and the ground floor location is perfect for when the kids get a bit tired as the adults can carry on with sunbathing etc. There is a great cupboard in the flat that has inflatables, buckets & spades and other bits you may need. Brill for the kids, so no need to take your own.
The pool round the corner is ideal for very young children, shallow and warm. There is evening entertainment for children by way of singing, games etc... It wasn't for us at it was geared more towards the Russian speaking, but fun to watch anyway.
The Italian restaurant is 20 metres away and the food was acceptably good but a little pricey in comparison to other places, but very good if you can't be bothered with going out.
DO NOT go for breakfast at El Paridiso though - very expensive and too awful to express in civilised terms
Best restaurants we found were Cactus (on path to Marina), No19 and Tony's in St Vlas. No19 is so cheap, 1kg of meat and veg on a cast iron griddle, cokes and vodkas for 3 people for approx. £19
All in all a brilliant, relaxing holiday - we are rebooking in 2015!!
Only small negative was the lack of a hoover. If you are staying for 2 weeks one would be good to stop the place getting over dirty
