The hotel carries four stars but needs perhaps a sergeant major to look after them properly.
Positive: location in a nice part of Netherlands; the style of public areas is stately, mostly in keeping with the atmosphere of the 19th century country house; personnel is quite nice; cuisine is all right.
Negative: In the room the telephone didn't work, bedside lamps were of a different type and didn't work on the switches; underside of beds was frayed; coffee and tea facilties are provided, but nothing to stir the brew or to dispose of used teabags. When a certain kind of gin was ordered in the bar, that is often taken with a lice of cucumber, the barman informed us that he had no cucumber and was not prepared to get one from the kitchen for this purpose. At dinner the first course did not carry all ingredients listed on the menu; the main course was excellent, the dessert was to be a tarte Tatin but ended up some sort of (tasty) apfelstrudel. Wines were all right.

On arriving you'll see a nice large castle like building in a nice park
Inside is a (too) small reception desk and a large but rather empty lounge.
The rooms are situated in the annex, which is a bit shabby and in need of renovation.
These rooms are large and clean but not "comfort plus" as advertised. Not attractive at all, a very small table and two cramped chairs. The bed is comfy however.
Lunch was good but busy and noisy, restaurant was fine with good services.
After a much needed update this will be a fine hotel!

Located in a beautiful owned park, you will find this beautiful hotel. The 4 stars it has are mainly because of the location. Rooms are OK, but miss things like a minibar. Beds were a bit soft. Most of the guests are people who who are biking in the beautiful area.

Had a terrible experience. Stayed for three weeks with fifteen colleagues. Cleaning was awful, the staff didnt care about anything. Breakfast was so bad most of us brought our own or ate elsewhere. The place was noisy as hell and not to mention- its in the middle of nowhere.

I loved the place. Starting off with the buffet breakfast which was included, I fell in love with the coffee machine, unfortunately it was already spoken for. The accommodations were great, very clean with some amazing grounds. Since I arrived a few days early, I took advantage and rented a bike at the hotel. Simple 3 speed but enough to do the job as the Netherlands are very flat. Rode down to the German Rhine one day and the other just found a route on the app route you. Since theis trip happens yearly, can't wait till next year.
