I was here with some friends due to a tennis table Italian championship. The camping has all you need in terms of food... Free time and accommodation. You can find Two nice swimming pool and a dedicated area for children where they can play... The place is wonderful near Orbtello and Porto S. Stefano.I surely suggest this place to everyone ask me about.... I think that If I will have the opportunity, I definitely return here.

We stayed in a bungalow for a week. The camping is located in a gorgeous pine wood just a few kms away from Argentario and from Feniglia National park. It provides excellent service: three restaurants, a well stocked grocery shop, swimming pool, access to the beach with lifeguard and other amenities. Security is good as the access to the camping areas and parking lot are with key. The bungalows are brick made and very well kept: they have a/c, a front veranda, a quite furnished kitchen with an electric stove and fridge, windows have mosquitos screens (even though we didn't see a single one in a week).

The Vulcan Riders & Owners Club of Italy used the Argentario Camping village for their international rally. The facilities provided were first class I was camping along with many of the bikers from all over Europe. The camping available was flat and sheltered. The toilet blocks were plentiful, with showers, wc's and were kept spotlessly clean. There was a well stocked shop, three restaurants, a swimming pool and a short walk to the beach. Some of our friends had booked into the chalets for the rally and what I saw of these I would have been more than happy to use them, they were clean and well appointed.
I can not comment on the restaurants as the VROC Italy provided all of the meals for the duration of the rally.
If you have transport the site is ideal for use as a sightseeing base. Or just for chilling out on the beach or by the pool.

That short review is for our one week stay at Giannutri Cottage. We were 2 adults and 2 "kids" at age 14 and 12. We did extensive sightseeing in weeks prior to our arrival. As a result, we came there for truly beach holidays and relaxing stay in the quit environment. We did not expect to be entertained by animation team and did not care about any excursions. Our expectations were 100% met.

I was considering Giglio and Giannutri cottages. When i made booking request, Giglio was already not available. Giglio perhaps looks more modern and is little bit larger. But:

- Our Giannutri was located closer to the sea (as well as others numbered around 350)
- Some Giglio cottages are located very close to the busy road and you will definitely
hear noise

Cottages are surrounded in well-kept green gardens dominated by pine trees. Our cottage Giannutri itself showed small signs of ageing. On our arrival some kitchen equipment was missing but replenished immediately. Both rooms have separate air con units. Great!

Beach/ Swimming pool

Typical Tuscany beach with dark sand and small pebble located up to 50 meters from some Giannutria cottages. We had dedicated Sun umbrella and 2 deck chairs. Beach service also included canoes, pedal boats and paddle boards and is completely free of charge. Nice feature. We did not use swimming pools while at beach holidays. But we noticed that pools were in good shape and cleaned every night.

Check in / Check out

All worked very well for us. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff at reception speaks English. They responded immediately to our requests. On our final day we were allowed to leave site at 4.30 AM, which is not usual at Italian camps. They checked our cottage at evening before our departure. We appreciate it.

Other services

There is a small but well stocked market right at the site. However nearly no staff speaks English or German. So its small challenge. During our seven days stay we went to the Simply supermarket at Albinia too. We ordered pizza from the restaurant located next to swimming pool. Pizza was average.

We enjoyed siesta time and full prohibition of cars inside the site. Site staff will deliver luggage to your accommodation. On the top of that our dedicated parking lot was well protected from direct sunlight.

Free Wifi was available at the terrace of our cottage, but its speed reminded me GPRS and Edge times.

What we felt as a small downside is that on our way from beach to Giannutri cottages, there is no shower on the way. Ofc there are showers when go through main camp entrance from the beach side. But that is detour.

At first look camp maybe does not look so fancy like Venetian Riviera top notch camps Camping Europa or Lido Union at Cavallino. But more you use camp more you will love it. Great spot for relax and cleaning your head.

On the other hand, avoid this camp if you prefer a vivid place or evening strolls to some village/city. Camp is situated in the middle of nowhere and without car it might be an issue.

Room tip: Giannutri cottages around number 350 are located very close to the beach.

We booked one-bedroom cottage through booking.com, but unfortunately the description of the property is quite poor. In fact, there are several types of "one-bedroom" cottages and you can get the one in better or in worse condition, closer to pool area or far away, detached house or part of attached apartments.
In our opinion the camping hast too high price for such basic "bungalow" that we got. No bed-linen and towels included and this is not mentioned in the cottage description. Pictures of the rooms have nothing to do with reality. Cottage equipment can be in good or bad condition, it looks like cottages were not renovated all at a time but only on need basis (we were traveling with friends and I had a chance to compare what different cottages had inside).
Zero noise insulation, you can hear every movement behind walls. If your kids are waking up early, be sure get frown from your neighbors.
Poor WiFi connection.

On the positive side: pool area is clean and well organized. Kids and disco dance programs organized by the staff bring a lot of fun throughout the day.

Room tip: Best cottages are numbered with 3xx or 4xx numbers, cottages with numbers from 200- are far away from pool area.
