We stayed here 6 days. (from saterday to friday).
Big family rooms, 2 seperate bedrooms and a little "living room", nice bathroom, and another seperate toilet. The children (7 and 9) were immediately at ease. They are used to big family hotels.

I first thought that it would be very crowded. But in the contrary. It's spacious, there are always enough things to do. Doesn't feel crowded at all.

Several pools. Inside and outside play area's for children.
Many things to do for the kids. In the hotel. Hockey, football, slackline, all with guidance from someone of the hotel.

But also enough things to do outside the hotel.
Walk's to the 3 countries border. Cheap public swimming pool in Grafenau. Rodelbahn..., walk in the treetops...

Food was very good. 2 menu's for adults, 1-2 for children, pizza's or pancakes made on the spot. In the morning you already see someone preparing the desserts for lunch or dinner.

We've just spent 4 nights and days with our 2 kids at the Schreinerhof and it was plain splendid! The hotel is constructed adjourned to the original farm with which it all started I reckon providing a mix of a genuine original farmhouse with a totally new hotel complete with nicely designed modern and new facilities (and they are expanding even further still with a second block, leisure-facilities etc.).

It's a family-hotel which it truly shows by the ergonomic design in regards to safety for kids (swimming pool has no sharp borders, staircases are properly secured in the public sections as well as in the apartment etc.) and all facilities available for the little ones. Well maintained and very clean.

There is a large indoor playground complete with a quite extensive day-care section, a playground outside, a manage where the kids can go pony-riding or help to take care of them, a corner to play in the hay right next to the stables, the possibility to help in the stables feeding the cows etc., have a ride with one of the tractors, nice new indoor pool-sections with slides & playhouses as well as an outdoor pool with a ‘natural’-pool as well to the side, a family-sauna set with milder temperatures for the kids (with a great view on the valley and hills) etc. …

For the grown-ups there is plenty to do as well with a spa-area on the second floor, indoor and outdoor skypool, relax area, sauna and a fitness room which is open 24/7 all with the same great view over the valley and hills and in new modern design.

The restaurant offers breakfast, lunch, coffee and cake afternoon break and dinner in buffet-format with plenty of choice. Dinner offers usually a mixed choice of (freshly made) local dishes and more ‘general’ offerings. For the kids there is a special restaurant section adapted to their size which is a pleasant addition for them.

The hotel is a great base as well for hiking, trail-running or visiting the region. The only down-side we experienced was the fact that there were road-works just in front of the hotel where our apartment was located which was out of their hands but still nicely taken care of towards us by the hotel owners and Armin. Staff is very friendly, helpful and considerative. Very recommendable if you are looking for a nice place to stay in the region and you want both kids and grown-ups to have a great time. We had an awesome time.

We would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone who wants to travel with the family without having to think about how to plan the stay.
From breakfast to bedtime not only your children but also you as parents have a wide activity offer.
You can spend the day with or without children, the kids club is open all day from 9am to 5 pm, you can bring and pick up your children whenever you want, you can have lunch with them or leave them to have lunch with other children. These options make that you can have a different day everyday, so that it doesn't get boring to anyone.
The facilities are beautiful, the staff very kind and friendly, the restaurant marvelous... the surroundings gorgeous!

Not to forget the wellness and spa area, sauna... the outdoor activities...

This is by far the best option for a family holiday!

With a beautiful environment, friendly staff, spacious and clean rooms and decent food there is not much left to wish for. There is plenty to do in near proximity and if the weather does not play well, you can always fall back to the great indoor facilities & activities with your kids (indoor play ground, swimming pool, story telling time, etc.).

I am looking forward to the next visit of Familotel Schreinerhof with my family next year.

We stayed on Familienappartment Superior, the room was nice and spacious. Our varanda faced the parking lot, therefore no view at all... Positive: nice swimmingpool, nice playroom for the kids, good arts& craft program for the kids, nice outside playground
Negative: the food was a little a down side for me... I understand that such a big hotel has to avoid waisting food, so every meal had a little of left over from the day before... At dinner there was no dessert (just some odd fruit cream every day the same). For the price that you pay, I expected more.
We liked very much the location of the hotel, near all the cristal factory, it was interested for the kids to make their own glass ball.
