As guests of the Dal Mississippi al Po music and literature festival we were perfectly situated at the Hotel Mathis that features and excellent restaurant, bar and breakfast starting at 6:30AM. Stefania runs the bar, breakfast, and pitches in at the front desk with a pleasant smile and super efficiency. We enjoyed the town of Fiorenzuola and our room # 201 looked out over a beautiful garden. Thank you to the staff and chef!

Room Tip: 201 looked over a beautiful garden with a huge window that I kept open during the evening so as not to run the AC through the night.

Really nice restaurant and coffee shop! With kind and helpfull people. Tasty and typical dishes. Great expresso and cappucino as well as the cakes and brioches!
The rooms are decorated with old stuff and some of them are not so cosy but all the kind people compensate that!

Stayed in this hotel while working nearby. It is an older style building, maybe even deco, that has larger rooms. Rooms are comfortable, bathrooms adequate. They are decorated in a more traditional way with older furnishings.
Hotel name is after the old French car builder Mathis. Collection of cars in the garage. Owners are always around and are helpful.
Restaurant does traditional food of the region and is very good. Breakfast is in the Italian style in their bar.
Air conditioning is present in the rooms.
Parking behind gates at front.

Generally, a pleasant hotel, room rates good and in an area good to explore. Fiorenzuola is a lovely town and near Busetto , the birth place of Verdi.
If you are into old cars then this is a place to go!!
