The apartment was cosy and beautifully furnished to a high specification. It was located on a small and quiet street very near the centre of La Salle which made it very convenient to get around the town(one thing to note is that it is near the church so be prepared for the church bells to ring briefly every quarter of an hour throughout the day and night - we didn't find it a big deal and became used to it quickly).
There is a balcony - it's not big but two people could sit out easily enough - and you mostly get to watch life pass by on the street below with glimpses of the mountains over the rooftops. You also get access to a shared garden with outdoor tables and chairs, great for eating out on those warm Aosta summer evenings.
And the hosts were great - warm, friendly and welcoming. We even had a welcome pack of soem basics (pasta, sauce, a bottle of wine) waiting for us when we arrived :-)
