You do not want to stay here. Close to the airport, yes. But they've got you trapped with their "dining room" that has awful food at high prices. Pick someplace else. The dinner was terrible, and on top of that, 60 euros. It needs a complete overhaul with a dining room menu from 2018, not 1908. Enough said.

I thought this hotel would be a nice farewell to Italy spot before flying home. It couldn't have been worse; tiny dark rooms, bugs, noise from other rooms, furnishings from, the Middle Ages. To make things worse unless you have a car, you have to eat in their restaurant which is exorbitantly priced. We paid $80 for 2 pastas, 2 glasses of wine and dessert. I also agree with the comments about the front desk staff.

My partner and I stayed here due to early morning flight. Reasonable priced. Building is stunning, grounds are nice, but isolated. Reception staff very frosty. Room very dated, drab furnishings. Bedding not great. Bathroom clean. We ate in restaurant in evening. Staff much friendlier. Ordered the steaks. Food was fantastic. With 2 desserts and a bottle of wine€75. Shuttle bus next day was good €2.50 per person. Returning home with several bites, just hoping it was because of the greenery around. Hotel does state not to open windows. We didn’t and we also had plug ins and mosquito spray. So I don’t know what else you can do to avoid the pesky creatures. Overall 2 star for facilities as pool wasn’t open, it should state this on website as there is nothing to do here. 4 star for building and downstairs interior. 4star for meal, 2 star for reception staff, who maybe should smile or at least give eye contact to paying customers.

Stayed 1 night as I had an early morning flight. On arrival the premises look fabulous with an arrival space that is protected from the elements by a canopy. The reception is OK if not very helpful. My room was poor, TV with no English language channels. Dinner was OK but expensive and having to now pay 7.30€ for the airport shuttle is just wrong.
Overall not impressed.

We stayed at the Hotel Villa Malpensa because of a flight the next morning. This hotel was delightful. Classic. Elegant. We loved our short visit with the Hotel. The restaurant and the evening meal was excellent. Breakfast included just about everything you could desire. Cost was reasonable and in line with the more "cookie cutter" type of hotels in the area. The service also included transportation to and from the airport. A real jewel. Stay here if you get the chance. You will want a family portrait on the front steps.

Room tip: All the rooms are quiet as the hotel is away from almost everything. Quiet and restful.
