Stayed here for a one night getaway. Got a cheap room only rate. Check is was quick. Staff were courteous. Room was large with balcony. No views though. Bed was large - although was two twins pushed together. Mini fridge and T&C facilities in room. Bathroom was large plenty of towels separated shower and bath, lots of toiletries provided. Robes in wardrobe but no slippers? Went to the spa which was a bit run down and messy but was complimentary so couldn't complain. €25 entry for non residence however so definitely wouldn't pay that. Lady at spa desk forgot to give us locker keys so had to go back out for them. She did provide slippers. Hot tub outside is lovely. Spa was the most unclean part of the hotel we saw which was disappointing. A little TLC would go far. Drinks and bar staff were great. Had a sandwhich in bar which were a little pricy - ciabatta €12?? Anyway, hotel was great value for money would definitely go back. Only complaints; some staff disinterested, spa needed TLC, no slippers in room and my sandwhich which I ordered came out wrong but they were very happy to fix it.

my partner and i stayed one night on a Dinner,Bed and Breakfast Package. The hotel overall is very good with nice rooms and pleasant staff. We did find dinner that evening a bit uncomfortable with tables too close to each other, and did move to a more private area.Food was good and enjoyed their leisure facilites, although the pool is very small. We have stayed here before and would return for a break away again,to chil out.

A lovely hotel - fabulous rooms - executive room was absolutely gorgeous - very spacious - king sized bed and sofa bed - views on to the garden. Large bath room with a separate shower. Every where was spotless. There is a great outside patio area. The staff were very friendly but service was generally slow.

Dunboyne is a nice village a bit swamped by bad planning and outlying estates. This hotel is the renovated stately home, big house and looks great set in lovely grounds. We were on a day drive from the city and called in for lunch. The reception area and bar is modern, clean lines and black wood; looks really good. Unfortunately, the decor was let down by poor and slow service. Our table has been cleared from previous guests but not cleaned and the two servers was really poor (in stained uniforms). After sitting for 10-15 mins, we had not been approached by either server, who stayed at the far end of the room behind the bar. A supervisor floated in to chat with them ! When I went to say we wished to order something and had been waiting for some time, I was told to go back and sit down, that someone would come. Supervisor smiled and continued to walk slowly around the room, apparently doing nothing ? About 25 mins later, we got our drinks and steak sandwich. So, what was to be a quick lunch turned into a marathon. We had to chase the servers around the room for another 5 mins to pay before leaving. Not a positive experience.

I stayed here for a weekend with my girlfriend. Lovely hotel, staff were friendly and efficient. The rooms were large and very clean. The food and service in the Bar and Restaurant were of a very high standard.
