Some scary moments but well worth the drive through the forest didn't see a wolf, boar or deer which was a shame..

Much of the Gargano Peninsula is forested and a large part forms one of the newest National Parks designated in Italy

We had a Jeep tour. we were 20 people who boarded into jeeps. The drivers were our guide who took us up in the forest showed us different trees and stones. It is a dry area but limestone keeps it wet and green. There Was Lunch Organized on top of the Forest

Beautiful forest and happy to see that a small part of real Puglian forest survived. Large oak and beech trees, dense forest. Great place for hikes. But incredible that even here the Italians dump their old furniture, garbage and fridges along the forest roads Large parts of Puglia seem to be transformed in garbage areas
