A bit dated when it comes to furniture but clean and spacious rooms, nice pool area and garden. Descent breakfast but a bit too sweet (as always in Italy). Only complaint is that the pool was remarkable cold.

The location is perfect, great view. The staff can be much more friendly and helpful. Slow WiFi in rooms. No coffee makers?!? No complimentary water. Nothing but water in the minibar( actually good because you can use it as a fridge :))) The bath towels are so funny, for the first time in my life I see that kind - like sheets. Really very old fashioned and funny. Definitely should be cheaper for that level.

A strange place, rather like the Grand Budapest Hotel! Some things were good, but some very irritating. Amongst these were the Individual WiFi codes for each mobile (so we needed 4 for 2 phones and 2 tablets) - took them ages to come up with these. Appallingly they turned off our WiFi access in the early hours of the morning on the day we left. Supposedly a 4 star hotel yet no tea and coffee making facilities and ridiculous towels - literally bath sheets. We asked about room Service but they could come up with nothing.t
There was only one thin pillow each until I asked fo another when a cheap and bulky one arrived.
Breakfast was mayhem and finished at 9,30. I went down at 8:50 and there were no cleared tables and half of the buffet missing. I wasn’t offered a hot drink and had to ask 4 times for butter which was one of the things that had run out.
However, we did have a good sized room.with a huge terrace and great views.
I was though very concerned about how slippery the bath was and had to step out of it for a shower - not very user friendly for older people, The make up mirror hinge was broken so it flopped down, too.
They mentioned using the outdoor pool but when we came back for the day it was closed.
So...generally some good points but they really need to look at being more user-friendly. Not sure if it is poor English but staff (apart from the girl who checked us in) were not very friendly.

Room tip: Ask for terrace or good views.

We was there just for one night but I can tell that this hotel is perfect with very big rooms with comfortable beds and big bathrooms. Varied breakfast, high quality Staff in restaurant and reception. Very beautiful view to bay and small port.

This hotel is very nearly excellent and just the odd little thing could make that difference. However, don't be put off. The staff are very helpful and friendly. When I had a personal problem reception staff went out of their way to help. The food is mostly very good with just the odd exception. The bar and terraces are good with some lovely places to sit and enjoy the fabulous views to countryside below. Rooms are clean and a good size. I stayed ten days in total. The sights of this ancient town are all a short walk away - though steps may be involved.
