This was our third time renting from Moune and Dominique and once again we were wowed! Cote Mer is a beautiful villa located directly off the beach in Orient Village. It's crisp, clean and gives you the feel of being at home. We were able to call Cote Mer home for 9 wonderful nights on this trip. The villa is fully equipped with everything you need. The kitchen is complete with utensils and cook ware if needed. The kitchen has an "American Refrigerator" as Moune calls it :-) with an ice dispenser, filtered water and full freezer. The bedroom has a king bed with a huge walk in shower and plenty of closet space. The villa has a huge patio which is partially covered. Before we arrived we were concerned about it being on ground floor and not having a view, but our concern was quickly gone when we walked in. The patio has amazing views of swaying palm trees. You can hear the ocean at night. From Cote Mer you are within walking distance of everything you need. Amazing restaurants in the village, a small grocery store and a few places to get breakfast. The Villa is also pretty well stocked with liquor which renters are welcome to! All she asks is that you pay it forward and help her keep it stocked. So if you buy a bottle and don't finish it, just add it to the collection. You are the closest to the beach you can get. Go through the gate, cross the road and there you are. Moune was even gracious enough to offer chair deals for the beach. This helped a lot! If you want to rent a car (we do!) Moune and Dominique also take care of that. She picked us up at the airport brought us to the villa where our cute tiny green car was waiting for us. Every transaction with them is seamless. They truly want you to love the island just as they do. We've made this our vacation spot for the past 4 years and aren't planning to change that anytime soon.

I have been meaning to write this review since the minute we returned! We (my husband, our 12 year old son and I) stayed at Cote Mer in February for 9 days. It was absolutely heaven and a wonderful experience from the first dealings with Moune and Dominique until the minute we left. We found Cote Mer from a generalized Trip Advisor search. When we contacted them we found out that they didn't have a unit available (at that time they only had Cote Chic and Cote Reve) but had just purchased another unit (Cote Mer) and it would be refurbished and ready by the time we arrived four months later. Moune was so thoughtful and sent pictures periodically through the remodel and it was so fun to watch our vacation paradise coming to life.
The unit itself is absolutely beautiful and well-appointed. The furniture was comfortable, towels fluffy and absorbent, shower spacious, kitchen full of all the necessities and even extras like olive oil, plastic wrap, paper towels and other things we didn't have to buy. We loved having the kitchen because (even though the restaurants are wonderful and nearby), we didn't want to have to go out for every meal. We had everything we could need. The day we went deep sea fishing we brought the fish home and cooked it right up! So nice! We had easy, available parking for our rental car. There are air conditioning units in both the living room and the bedroom so you can keep the unit as comfortable as you so desire. Our 12 year old son slept on the sofa bed and it was very comfortable for him.
The unit is right across the street from the beach and we were able to get chairs every day. Moune and Dominque provided us with coupons so that most days got free chairs or free drinks or some nice little perk. Orient beach is full of things to do, waves to ride and people to watch. Great food and drinks and just a ton of fun! There was also a nice pool that wasn't crowded at all. Cote Mer also had some chaise lounges that we could take to the beach or the pool if we wanted (although we didn't use them).
The unit is located in a small village-type complex. There are at least 8 different restaurants within a very short (like two blocks) walk and all of the ones we tried were delicious. Our favorite is Le Piment! Wonderful food and terrific owner/hostess. There is also a wonderful little patisserie in the village to which we would walk each morning and get fresh croissants, baquettes and beignets! Thank goodness I walked the beach every day or I would have gained 10 pounds!!
Communication and responsiveness with Moune and Dominique was amazing! Email correspondence was so easy and responses came within an hour or two. I was also able to text with Moune and she responded immediately! Moune met us upon arrival, gave us a tour and got us settled. She and Dominique came over with a bottle of champagne and souvenir glasses to help us celebrate our vacation. They were so nice and helpful when we had trouble figuring out the tv. The wi-fi was great and fast.
Finally, we found the price to be very reasonable and a wonderful value.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about Cote Mer and Moune and Dominique. I would HIGHLY recommend staying here or Cote Reve or Cote Chic (they are located in the same complex and are equally well appointed). I hope that we will be able to go back again next year!
