Excellent food and service. It was very busy but they were well able to cope with us all. The food was lovely. We had scallops, lamb and fish. Well done

Great relaxing atmosphere, good service, and just sort of fun lunch. Lunch group seemed a mix of locals and tourists. Given the amount of touring for the D-Day beach areas, this was a comfortable place to relax over lunch.

We found this great little family run Restaurant 3 years ago and always lunch here before catching the Cherbourg Ferry home
It is busy and so we recommend reserving a Table in the window, this enables one to watch the world go by and the activity in the Port.
The food is great and the fish brilliant as one would expect from it's Harbour side position.
The family are very welcoming and give a special personal service, no French shrug.

We chanced upon this restaurant on a Sunday lunchtime and were lucky enough to get the last available table. It was full and had a great atmosphere. The set menu had good choice and was very reasonably priced. The amuse-bouches were delicious, as were our main courses (especially the duck). Dessert too was yummy!
Service was friendly and just right. The added bonus was a fun competition where a stunning strawberry patisserie was brought round and you were asked to guess its weight. The winner took the cake home - just a bit of fun, but which sparked off much conversation about baking methods & weight of cream types! All in all a most memorable lunch. Thank you!

Another rainy day touring WWII sites--emotionally and physically exhausting so finding a good restaurant is important. The experience started off fine as we were quickly seated and provided with water, wine, bread and an amuse bouche. The problem seemed to start when a young couple with baby were seated a table away from us. It wasn't long before the baby started to cry. No amount of cuddling by the parents helped. Instead of one of the parents leaving with the baby, they ate their meal and let the baby cry. The situation seemed to negatively impact the service staff as they avoided any of the tables in the vicinity of the screaming baby--can't say I blame them but that meant our service deteriorated . This is a Michelin recommended restaurant so I felt the staff should have been trained to resolve the problem without disrupting the other diners. The food was excellent but it was impossible to enjoy it. Since we ordered the menu du jour, we had dessert. We waited and waited for the dessert but it didn't come. Finally when the couple with the crying baby left, our dessert arrived. We do recommend the restaurant for the food, but we do feel the staff should have been more experienced in handling the situation--moving the couple and baby, offering to keep one meal hot so one parent could eat while the other took the baby outside. But, it seemed as if the staff disappeared and let all the other diners suffer. This could have been handled differently with a little bit of training for the staff. But, if you are considering this restaurant please do try it as the odds are in your favor that you won't have a crying baby.
