We joined a day tour with TES Tour (separate review) and Gobustan Rock Art was the first place we visited. We left Baku at around 10 am and arrived around 11 am. It was pretty crowded with a lot of visitors.

There was a small loop our guide took us through and pointed out the rock carvings / petroglyphs. We spent around 45 minutes here. The area is not too large but there were a lot of visitors.

We paid 10 AZN per person. We gave our guide the money and he bought the tickets. I'm not sure if they take credit cards.

Amazing information about the prehistoric people and their art. The natural rock formation is interesting to see.

I did a trip there through Baku Tours. It is such a vast site, and we hardly spent any time there. One could easily make a 1/2 day of this site. We were not even given the chance to see the museum, just given a quick pass around the paved walking area. This is a GREAT site, but be careful who you see it with!

We had a private tour for two people with Best Baku Tours. Our guide Hamran was great from start to finish. We learnt all about Azerbaijan from its history to culture to modern day living. Highly recommend a visit.
