Great location for Newgrange (but make sure you have directions to find the house, as it is well hidden). Happy with the rooms - not big, but big enough. Great breakfast (enjoyed the flexible system of paying for full Irish only if you wanted it). Patricia was a fine hostess (though she spoke so fast I could hardly understand her, not being used to Irish accents).
Nice lounge area, good internet connection.

We stayed at Lougher Farm B&B on our first night in Ireland. This was our first experience at a bed and breakfast and I am thrilled to report that it was simply perfect! The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. We sat in the sitting room and drank some tea while reading books about the area.

Patricia was a warm and friendly host and offered great suggestions on things to do in the area. She suggested that we go for a walk along the river Boyne where we would have wonderful picturesque views of Newgrange and the countryside in the distance. My husband and I are so glad that we took her advice since it was a lovely walk and the views were amazing! If you are interested in photography you can get some amazing shots from here. We also had dinner at the pub in town and it had great food.

The next day we had our breakfast in the dining room. Wow! Patricia knows how to cook up a great breakfast and the mushrooms were so tasty I could have eaten just a plate of them alone. Absolutely delicious! After breakfast she sat with us and we got to know a bit more about her and she is such a warm and caring woman. God bless her she has a big heart and I don't know how she does it all!

As others have stated she will call and book you in for a tour at Newgrange and Knowth. You get you skip the queue AND you get a 20% discount. It is really close just a few mile down the road. Also I recommend visiting the abbey ruins on the Hill of Slane. Excellent views of the area and completely free to explore.

This is an excellent option if your looking for a B&B in this area. I couldn't be any more satisfied with our very first B&B experience. Thank you so much!!!!

We stayed here 2 nights with our visit to Newgrange and other ruins on the intervening day. It is up a country road just a few kilometers from Newgrange. The hostess booked our tickets so we did not have to wait in line AND we would be eligible for discounted tickets. The rooms were cozy, and the breakfasts were great--the best homemade scones of the trip. This is a real family home B&B, not a purpose-built B&B, and we enjoyed the opportunity to converse with the hostess at length. This was also one of the rare places where we had WIFI available.

A super B&B, comfortable and friendly, ideal position for the Boyne valley antiquities. Also offers 20% discount on entry to Newgrange. Though signposted locally, it is well hidden down tiny lanes - best arrive in daylight if you can. Only B&B I know that charges a lower rate if you only want "continental" breakfast - though this was ample and all very fresh.

We ended our trip to Ireland at Lougher Farm. What a great place. The room was a bit small, but Annie, the owner made up for that,
What a lovely lady; introducing all the guest to each other at the breakfast table and even digging up plants from her garden for me to take home.

Annie, hope you enjoy your holidays in Spain. we will come back in the future.
