“Food and walking”
Reviewed 1 May 2008 for a stay in April 2008

We had a wonderful stay at Itrabo Hills despite the rain for the first day. Beautiful countryside for walking straight out the door and fabulous food cooked by Peter.

“Relaxing, re-energising & highly recommended!”
Reviewed 24 March 2008 for a stay in March 2008

I booked our stay based on the other Trip Advisor reviews and we could not have been happier with our choice.

Only 15mins away from the coast, Peter and Debbie provided us with an extremely comfortable and welcoming home to stay. Intimate but also affording privacy, the property is lovely with a plunge pool, patios on which to enjoy the sun, but moreover, the winning ingredient here was Peter's charming hospitality (Debbie was visiting the UK) - a genuine, helpful and v good cook, Peter made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. They offer evening meals which were most appreciated as the menus are delicious. The village is quaint with a little bar to which the locals and all go and there are several surrounding places to visit : the larger town of Almunecar,15mins south on the coast, offering the restaurant, 'Horno de Candida' where the 8 tasting course menu at 28 Euros qualifies for a Michelin star in my opinion (tapas & a la carte also available) / the villages of La Herrudura, Frigliana & Nerja and Malaga city, not forgetting the scenic drives by the Sierra Nevada snow capped mountains and natural parks to these places, Granada city & the world reknown 'Alhambra Palace & Gardens' (pre-booking essential).

Peter & Debbie have an informative 'Welcome Pack' detailing the sights and experiences you can enjoy in the area & Itrabo, given it's quaint, unspoilt, authentic feel, makes for a lovely base to visit the area.

I am a seasoned traveller and coming from 10hr days in the City of London, Peter & Debbie's house provided everything we wanted without the pretensiousness we've had in 'boutique' hotels elsewhere : comfortable accommodation, quaint setting, great food and sincere hospitality all located in a lovely part of Spain.

Malaga airport is 1st recommendation 2nd is Granada. Pick up car hire at the airports. Email Peter & Debbie (their website is www.itrabohills.com) they are v helpful and were on hand to offer us advice from the moment we made our inquiries re availability.

“Great B&B”
Reviewed 6 January 2008 for a stay in June 2007

My friend and I stayed near the end of Jun for about 4-5 days. It is a beautiful place and very quiet if people are looking for some peace. We weren't in the B&B very much as we left every morning to tour in the surrounding areas. The countryside is beautiful and our time spent was just a teaser as I am definitely going to travel in Spain again. Debbie and Peter are great hosts. If you aren't sure what to do for supper one night, I strongly suggest you have Peter cook for you...it is to die for!

“Amazing and beautiful place to stay!”
Reviewed 27 November 2007 for a stay in November 2007

We stayed in this lovely B&B for four nights and could not have been more pleased! The hosts are fantastic, the lodgings are perfectly decorated and immaculately maintained, the scenery is lovely and the food was great. Itrabo is a charming and authentic small Spanish village tucked away in the mountains with a view of the Mediterranean, quiet and scenic and charming. The facility is in an old house that has been completely renovated and modernized, quite luxurious and comfortable. We went on several day trips recommended by the hosts and were absolutely delighted with the places nearby that we visited. It was also great to come back at the end of the day to such relaxing surroundings. Highly recommended.

“Itrabo hills Autumn”

Centrally located for touring the Sierra Nevada and Granada area as well as the seaside. We were there in October and the weather was lovely.
Our hosts were great and prepared a fabulous supper as well as excellent breakfasts. The home is spotlessly clean , attractive and quiet. Our accomodation was private and very comfortable.
Peter came to meet us the first day and we parked our car in the square as it was totally safe to leave it there. All the info on Tajeda park and Alpujaras as well as the Sierra Nevada and Granada are organised and well presented in a book for guests to read. This info was sent to us before we arrived.
It was a two minute walk to the site and no problem at all as the local people were friendly.
We met a nice couple there from the U.K.and enjoyed dining with them.
Our over all experience was most enjoyable and the cost was very reasonable. We thank them immensely!
