We stayed two nights in this nice home in an extraordinarily charming little town south of Basel, Switzerland. It's about a twelve minute ride from the main train station, on tram line #10 (right out front), to the Im Lee station. This isn't at all a tourist town, but it's very elegant and scenic. We loved just strolling around the side streets, with all the lovely homes and gardens. And the town center (about a 5 minues walk) is extra charming, with several nice restaurants, as well as a lovely baroque cathedral. (Our favorite restaurant was the Classico.) There's also some sort of small castle up on the hill, but we didn't have time to visit.

The house itself is only a few minutes from the tram station, on a very nice & quiet side street. Unfortunately, the couple who owned the B&B were on vacation, so we never got to meet them. But they arranged for a friend of theirs to prepare us breakfast. We had the "Refugio" room in the basement. My wife thought the room was a bit damp feeling. But it was a huge room, with a kitchenette and private bath. The house is quite interesting, with amazing souvenirs from the family's travels to Africa, etc. It has a nice side yard, with a bit of a garden. Breakfast was quite adequate. The overall price was reasonably discounted, since you're out a ways from Basel.

If you want to just focus on Basel, this B&B is a bit out of the way. But if you'd really appreciate a little broader and wonderfully peaceful Swiss perspective, and if you want a B&B, this would be a very good choice.
