This is a great place to eat, especially if you're walking the Hadrian's Wall Path and have worked up an appetite. They serve good ales and excellent pub food. We heard that they're under new management as of the summer of 2015. Don't know what the food was like before, but it's really good now. We especially enjoyed the haggis wrapped in a flattened chicken breast and English bacon. Their rib-eye steaks were great, too, and cooked exactly as ordered (medium rare). But the highlight of both our evening meals (we ate here twice) was the sticky toffee pudding. My husband and I tried this dessert at several places in England, but the Twice Brewed Inn had the best version of it we ever tasted, with a separate warmed butterscotch sauce to pour over the pudding. With vanilla ice cream, this is a dessert to die for. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the overall atmosphere was relaxed but lively. Great place for dinner. Highly recommended!
