We visited for lunch on a Saturday. We had made a reservation having been advised by a friend to do so.
We were seated upstairs at the window. The view alone was worth the visit. It's right on the beach overlooking the bay. Fantastic altogether.
I had the chowder to start. Hands down the nicest chowder I've ever had. Rich and creamy with great big lumps of fish and veg. For mains I went for the pot of mussels. They were delicious in a garlic sauce. My eyes were bigger than my belly as I couldn't finish them after the chowder.
Our waiter was a young chap who was very friendly and chatty. I'll definitely visit again. It's located close enough to the city that you can take a spin out for lunch or dinner. The drive out there is beautiful too.
