Needed a place to go for a lazy supper. What a find. Great soup, calamari, fish and chips, and burgers. And a host of other selections. Friendly and attentive. Great waiter in George. Don’t miss this place.

We loved this place. Could have talked for hours with Sean, Frank and the others at the bar. Our young lady bartender kept things moving like a great conductor. Moved to a table in the bar for dinner so did not have to sacrifice the pub atmosphere to eat. Food and service at dinner were both excellent.

What a lovely review, we really appreciate it. That was Aisling in the bar (the “great conductor”!) and she passes on her warm regards, and asked to remind you of the bog… She has a spare pair of wellies waiting for you! Best wishes for the rest of your trip and hopefully we’ll see you again soon.

We stayed at a local B and B so we were able to walk to Donnelly's for dinner. What a great spot, really nice atmosphere. Tasty food, good service and good price. Would highly recommend. Loved the sticky toffee pudding much more than O'Grady's the previous night.

This is a great historic pub on the coastal route out of Galway. We had muscles and seafood chowder to start, both were great. For mains trout special and chicken supreme were fantastic. The dessert brownies had nuts, which was unexpected and not what we wanted. All servers were awesome and multiple people helped. Atmosphere was super cozy, you can tell it’s an old staple that’s been revived.

Decent enough bar restaurant set in a little village outside Galway. Like many of the bars in Ireland, beer selection is limited if you want something away from the mainstream - the Irish are certainly as yet to embrace the craft beer revolution.

Had a crab sandwich with a serving of fries. Honestly ... sandwich was average and the fries were not cooked through.

Better options in town such as Blakes and John Keogh’s.

Thanks very much for the feedback, we appreciate it. We do have a number of craft beer options available (and three local ales on tap), but we’re always looking to improve and add more products - not least in our craft beer selection. We're sorry the food fell a little short of your liking on this occasion but we hope you'll give us another chance on your next visit to the Wild Atlantic Way. Safe travels and thanks again.
