Bernadette was a wonderful host. Our room and bed was comfortable, clean and very well maintained. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choices. Bernadette gave us some great tips for places to visit. I recommend this B&B for an authentic experience of Irish hospitality.

We chose to stay outside of Galway to get a feel for some other cities instead of being in the hustle and bustle of Galway, and I'm so glad we did. Barna was a quaint port town with friendly locals. We stayed at Abbeyville, which was easy to find, onsite parking, and was in walking distance to some good restaurants and the coast.

The owner was exceptionally welcoming and attentive. The B&B is on the small side so it was nice to meet some of the other guests over breakfast. The room was a perfect size for my husband and I with a bathroom inside of the room, including a hair dryer.

The breakfast was delicious, and she offered so many options. We chose the traditional Irish breakfast since we hadn't had one yet, and it was spot on!

Our stay and experience was flawless, and I would recommend staying here if you find yourself looking for a quieter alternative to staying in Galway. We were only a 12 mile drive from Galway so we were able to take a taxi to and from the city for a night out. (Which I recommend as well... but we'll save that for another review!)

Abbeyville was our favorite B&B of our trip to Ireland! Bernadette was a genuine delight as a hostess and treated us like family while keeping us entertained and well cared for. We would definitely stay with her again! Inn is within short walk of restaurants and is near Galway Bay.

What a great place to stop after a days travel. Bernadette was so helpful with her knowledge of the local area. A very clean and spacious accommodation. We were from Australia so she went out of her way to welcome us and give us as much information of the area as she could. Would definitely recommend this B & B as a stop over.
