Everything from the attentive service down to the food was great. A little trouble finding the place. Its upstairs on the main road but not on street level. We all enjoyed our food and it was filling after papadoms to start off and a starter afterwards. We had no room for dersert. Only comment I'd make is its a tad pricely but would definately recommend it if you're looking to have a nice curry.

We stopped for a quick bite or a light lunch after reading some reviews about the place. The food was delicious yet simple. Though very flavourful, felt light on the stomach and the service was excellent. The mix of spices was quite unique and fresh and not the familiar ubiquitous Punjabi style. The fried egg plant starter was tasty but oily. The (Rajma) beans was quite good and the fried fish was really tender and nice. Located on the light house road quite near to the Chartwell road restaurants, this is a place for a change of taste.

The food was way average and VERY SALTY for an Indian woman I'd like to think she can cook better than that especially when it comes to measuring of ingredients. Secondly a samoosa is supposed to be FILLED WITH "dry" filling and not some type of curry further more being authentic Indian cuisine one would expect an authentic samoosa. I'd also try not being in our faces when we're eating that's awkward , the meat was also extremely fatty found alot of fat in our bunnies. Lastly please try not making woman uncomfortable by being so flirty you made my husband so uncomfortable Ps I'm the only woman he has eyes for.

My wife and I visited on a Friday evening and having seen the reviews on Tripadvisor - expected a full house when in fact the restaurant was virtually empty. Our host Beverley had plenty of friendly chat which to a large extent was designed to mask the defficiencies with the food. Chicken and prawn curry was hot and spicy although the 6 tiny prawns were well hidden. My wife had a crab curry that was a house special and proved to be difficult to eat due to the lack of suitable instruments to extract the crab meat.
This part of Durban is crying out for a an A+ curry house but sadly Masala Masala falls a long way short of the mark

Dear Sir
I am proud and happy of what we have achieved as a new restaurant in 8months. It is my passion for food that has lead me to this territory. We are not a franchise and therefore relatively unknown. Its just a matter of time, and we will be full house, watch this space. It is purely on suggestions such on sites like these that we have gained our patrons. Tad difficult to answer you on the crab, patrons on previous nights this week loved the crab curry. Point noted on equipment anbd bibs as was recommended by 2 other customers prior to you.
I thoroughly enjoy chatting and getting to know my patrons. No hidden agenda attached.
We do get many, many nationalities and out of town people- makes for great entertainment chatting to these people.
Do enjoy your stay in our beautiful country and hopefully when you return you will join us again.

Warm regards
Beverly
