Pros
1. Very neat and clean room with all necessary amenities as per expectations
2. Greate view of tokyo from room and sky tree from other parts of hotel
3. Good breakfast with japense and european meals
4. Helpful staff

Cons
1. Breakfast is same all days
2. Probably space but that is common in japan. Still it was good by Tokyo's standard
3. English communication not that smooth

Room Tip: Top floors rooms will offer great views

I did a lot of research before choosing this hotel and was not disappointed. Good sized clean rooms, lots of toiletries and a decent view. Located right next to the Subway line and a short walk from the JR line station, there is good access to other parts of the city even if it might take a little longer than staying somewhere central. We stayed with kids aged 4 and 22 months and were able to get a cot. The breakfast is good if you get that option; there's not lots else close by for breakfast other than a bakery and convenience stores. Disabled access around the hotel also seemed good. The only major shortcoming is lack of an onsite coin laundry but there is one a five minute walk away.

Nice and new hotel. Room small. Breakfast good. Near main road but no shopping malls around. Quite a few eateries around. Location near Ryogoku train station about 5 mins walk. Convenient to take train to other places like Akibara etc. Opp has family mart and 7 eleven nearby. Only stayed forc1 night with packaged tour from Singapore.

Tokyo has thousands of hotels; trying to find one that suits budget, location and accommodates personal requirements takes time and great patience.
Dai-ichi hotel Ryogoku hit all our preferences and more. Room 2316 overlooks the Sky Tower, amazingly lit up at night, and gives such a view of the city that one can consider not needing to buy a ticket for the Tower! One simply needs to walk across the corridor to see the other side of the city!
The room was well appointed, roomy and amazingly quiet saying that Ryogoku JR station is five minutes away, walking. The trains do stop running overnight but kick in around 6:45am, so my wife told me; a light sleeper may find this annoying but it was fine for me.
The breakfasts, on The 25th floor, offered Japanese and western food, plenty of it, all presented and prepared to very high standards: well worth buying the option.
The restaurant on the ground floor served lovely cuisine to an excellent standard well within most budgets and certainly a better deal than many a London restaurant.
On all occasions the staff were superb; those on reception spoke English and others were able to understand if not quite fluent.
Would I stay there again? Absolutely! Obviously, prices vary according to season and your lead-in time so one must factor these into your assessment.

I've stayed at this hotel a couple of times on separate visits, and would recommend this place for a cheaper option stay, but still have breathtaking views of the city day or night!

It is also convenient located with many transport links, and only a 10 min train journey from Tokyo main station.
