Everything was perfect. The food. The staff. The venue. It gets very busy so I would say its better to make a reservation. We were a group of ten, we ordered beers, sushi, sashimi, salads, tofu and it all came down to 30usd per pax. I would say that was a great price refarding the quality of food. I will go back for sure!!!

This restaurant had been recommended by the owner of my favourite Chicken place in Newtown, Sydney. And we were not disappointed.
It is well worth the 35 steps you need to go down to get too. (Yes, there is a lift.) The welcome was warm, the place has a modern vibe and seem to attract younger people. Several foreigners were spotted.
The menu is varied, available in English, and offers a range of interesting dishes that should satisfy the fussiest person.
Well worth the AUD45 each. (No alcohol was consumed by us) Very satisfying.

Make sure you have google maps on your phone to find this place. But it's worth it, really fun authentic Japanese restaurant with great atmosphere, service and price. We chose the party menu for 3500Y (£23 a head) & the 500Y all included drinks on top. Totally worth it and great value for Tokyo. The menu was interesting, a lot of different dishes and the bamboo sake, beers and plum liquor all very good quality. Loved it. Would recommend this as a must visit to any friends visiting Tokyo.

We visited on our last night in Tokyo, but sadly the food was not what we expected. It was ok but not much choice and service was erratic with one meal missing. Beware the table charge (in small print on back of menu)which was 1765 yen for 2 adults and 2 kids. Also a mix up in ordering saw us with sashimi for one arriving as sashimi for 4, though they did correct the cost when asked which was appreciated. There are better places, I'm afraid I wouldn't come here again.

We tried various restaurants which were all booked on Xmas Eve. So we tried our luck with 35 steps. The tuna tartar with bread was amazing. The grilled mackerel (the grill is done in your presence) was unforgettable. We had the Ebi prawns chillimayo- with slightly cooked eggs sprinkled all over- yums! Highly recommended. Even the steamed radish with tofu did not disappoint. Reservation in advance is advised...
