Posh restaurant, a friendly passerby lead us all the way to the entrance as it is on the sideway.
Personal Chef that shows you every ingredient, right to the sauce and cooks everything for you. You will feel badly spoilt by their services, the way they treat you like indeed an O-sama.
Exquisite marbling of Kobe beef that heavenly melts in your mouth and will separate food portion impartially. Everyone gets their fair share of beef. Tried their lunch set meal for budget reason and it is as good as it gets. It is more budget for value too.

It's pricey ($290 for 2ppl -- but everything in Tokyo is expensive), but for the food and experience, we definitely felt it was was worth it. We had the pre-fixe menu, one steak, one lobster. Absolutely recommend for a special night out.

We live in Tokyo so having the choice of the finest restaurants in the world, it is always a challenge to choose new destinations.
I had previously been reluctant to go here as it just gave the feeling it was too touristy.
With friends coming in from uk we needed to ease them into tokyo life so decided for Mon Cher Tonton
Wonderful food and great setting around the teppan.
The set menus look great but we wanted to try a variety of dishes so we decided on a la carte. Everything including vegetables was fabulous. In particular recommend the abalone, foie gras and of course the wagyu beef.
Highly recommended and will be back

Reading other reviews i kind of guess this is the place where it can be helpful to come with a local... which we did.
Mon Cher Ton Ton is located downstairs the famous Seryna (see other review there) and is a sister place. Decoration is 70s Japanese at its best, straight out of a James Bond set and it is a Teppanyakki place. It runs different menus, and true to other comments it is expensive. However, having tried several now in Tokyo, there is a real difference of quality and sometimes prices matter. You can choose from Kobe or non Kobe beef (non Kobe is perfectly fine for me) and the "entry price" menu is definitely enough for a normal person. Even though highlight is meat you get as well seafood as starter (and yes, as stated by others, they cook shrimps alive.... this is a way to see the meaning of "fresh" in Japan... ).
All in all it is a global experience, do not look too closely ate the prices and enjoy.

Expensive? More than 200 per person with champagne and wine
Worth going? Sure, and make it a full bonanza
