This is situated in the centre of Ginza, and although small is actually very cosy. They have cakes, chestnut cake and macaroons.

Came here to take a break and enjoy a cup of coffee...BAD IDEA. Windowless enclosure where the "non smoking" section was like sitting in a cold ashtray - both in terms of size and smell!

Coffee was bad, water smelled!

Long story short: don't be fooled by the European Cafe House exterior and look! It is worse than you can imagine!

Popped in here for dessert as it looked so pretty. We were staying across the road at the Millennium Mitsui and passed it every day.

The Mont Blanc is their signature cake and so it seemed an obvious choice and it was very good. I opted for the Blueberry tea and it came in a china cup with a tea strainer and was very good.

The decor is very quaint, pretty and traditional.

So we were still in search of a decent breakfast place in Tokyo, where there is no breakfast culture and very few choices outside of hotels.

This is only a short walk from our hotel and we are satisfied with this place for breakfasts - a clear separating section for smoking and non-smoking; the seatings are a bit tight but acceptable, and the foods are decent. Breakfast sets include scrambled eggs, side salad, choice of ham or bacon, and thick buttered toast and tea or coffee.

My niece was happy with her cinnamon toasts and my dad was happy with Toast and soup set, all included tea or coffee.

I was a happy trooper with Earl Grey loose tea and tea infuser and pretty tea cups.

The price seem reasonable.

We bought a piece of Mille feuille to go to try and we heard that quite a few of their sweets including the Japanese Chestnuts Monblanc are pretty good as well.
