Spent 16 nights there on a business trip. The staff could not be more attentive and made us really feel at home. The rooms are good, the wireless internet works, and the food was above par. The best times were had in the evenings in the pub, as it should happen in Ireland. Jack and Aidan, the barmen, excelled at their trade and became quick friends. It happened to be Super Bowl week. We had joked about having chicken wings at half time - the kick off was 11:30 PM Ireland time. They approached Kevin, the owner, who politely oblidged by having the cook come in at midnight to provide half time wings and potoato wedges. Enjoyed explaining American football to the Irish after watching soccer every night previous. Would consider no other place in Kilrush. Also an excellent Pub if your just passing through.

I travel this area 3 - 4 times a year, and i will always endevour to book this hotel, as happy smilling friendy staff is what its all about for me!
A cozy traditional pub and B&B, a limited but good standard of food, centralised location to get out and about, the sea right on your door step, who could ask for more!

Rooms are perfect for sleeping, well, all the ones i have stayed in! Good internet, good ale, good room price! Hell for me, perfect!
My last stay for four nights was very good, however i may have overdone it on 'the black stuff', but understanding staff made everything just right.

If your in the area for anytime, you would be a fool to miss this place. I hear its even better in the summer months!!

Room tip: Its a listed building with good thick walls, take your pick!!!!

If you want an authentic Irish Pub and B&B experience, stay at Crotty's! The sun was going down on us after a long day of of driving, and we stopped at the first bed and breakfast sign we found. I'm so glad that it was for Crotty's. From the staff to the owners, everyone was laid back, friendly and so very welcoming. The rooms have an old school charm, but each has its own modern bathroom. Dinner is great, and the Guinness flows as freely as the stories in the pub. And the 'traditional Irish breakfast' in the morning? Delicious! Some advice -- if you want American bacon, ask for "streaky" bacon. They'll bring you a plate full. This was truly my favorite hotel experience in Ireland, even moreso than the chain hotels we stayed at in Dublin, Derry, Galway and Cork. My only regret is that we only got to stay one night. Very highly recommened!

Room tip: Ask for the room with both the bathtub and shower, and enjoy a bubble bath in a tub big enough for 2.

By boyfriend and i were just looking to get away for a weekend and choose to go west and see what it was like. i can most certainly asure you that it was the best decision we made. The pub was traditional and cozy. On arrival we were welcomed with open arms. the staff were so pleasent and helped us big time as we wanted to go see different parts of clare when we were there and with no hesitation they were well able to give us directions and maps etc. The rooms were so quaint and relaxing. but the highlight of our weekend was the meal we had the saturday night, we sat beside the warm blazing fire and d food was to die for. i had the special seabass and my sean had the steak.eveything was cooked to perfection and would recommand it to everyone and will definately be returning.

I would consider Crotty's to be equivalent to a 4 star boutique hotel
