Food is great. Some peculiar rules about what you can and cannot have as una bebida with the menu....cava OK...coca cola or aqua con gas not. Otherwise enjoyed.

We were reccomended the town by a friend as it's very pretty. We got here at 3pm and needed to eat. We were lucky and parked on the puerto. We chose this place because it was on the beach and was busy. We were not dissapointed. Very friendly and helpful staff, full of locals and Spanish tourists alike. We had the menu for 30€ each. Prawn starters, steamed mussells and a huge cod to share. Spectacular. Thank you for a lovely visit.

Good size inside restaurant with beach views and loads of outside seating - some of it in the shade. Alongside the parking and the harbour with easy access to the Old Town, which is worth a visit, especially the small chapel in the arches. Possible to just have a drink, a snack, something more substantial or a full meal. Your choice. Decent range of wines and beers. Plenty of staff to keep things on the move. Well patronised. Lively and relaxed at the same time.

The restaurant is on a perfect place, directly on a beach with a beautiful view, and the staff is friendly as well. But the food (fish, mussels) had no taste and made my afternoon difficult. I felt queasy till the evening.

It's easy to remain in the old part of town, small though it is, when visiting Getaria but this restaurant, right next to the harbour and beach, is well worth the trek (all of about 100m). We had a simple lunch of fish soup, razor clams and assorted fried "things" - calamari, croquettes and something served in a mussel shell. It was washed down with txakoli and was all delicious and well prepared. The 6 local ladies taking lunch on the table next door had appetites that belied their age and size ! Their food, including various starters followed by a huge chuleton and yet more fish all looked, and smelled, fantastic. Great value as well, especially for Getaria. We actually wished we were more hungry so we could have tried more food. Perhaps next time visit this fantastic little town.
