It can’t be described, this can be only felt on place. This is a beautiful old farm turned into the hotel. Easy to go to the beach by car. Silence is incredible. The best place to stop, rest, have a talk on the terrace and feel the true life. Garden is covered in greenery and flowers. Each room is placed in former farmer outhouses. Very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is simple but delicious, with local cheese and fruits. And Michael welcoming us was so cool!!!

Michael treated us all very well in our stay, he gave us rooms that were sharing a terrace and had great recommendations for dinner. Breakfast in the morning was really nice with all locally sourced produce and satisfied all our expectations and more. Gracias for everything

My teen girls and I drove from Barcelona to experience the countryside and we chanced upon this gem ! We didn't have trouble finding it (great signage in the town) but chuckled as we couldn't figure out how to get into the farmhouse. My daughter threatened to scale the beautiful stone wall -- when the proprietor, Micheal, opened the door to greet us. ESP!

We had such a wonderful time. The property was so beautiful ! attention to all details: the courtyards with flowers; the sleeping rooms with tremendous showers and incredible beds; the main house and its romantic eating nooks. Breakfast was so lovely -- with beautiful linens :)

The photos on line are accurate -- only don't communicate the "calmness" of the special space.

Peralada and nearby towns were so interesting -- spent the day (per Michael's expert direction) at the Roman/Greek ruins & the Mediterranean Sea. We really liked the Castle; and no way to beat the Dalhi Museum! We drove around at sunset to see the mountains aglow ! It was so special.

Our only regret -- we should have spent more time at Hotel Can Carbo ! Next trip !

Room Tip: Ask the owner for advice -- he spot on for us ! (single mom who needed escape from teenaged girls!_

This place was not easy to find but it is worth seeking out because it is a delight.
Some advice about finding it is given in the Q&A.
The owner is very well informed about the area and he gave us good suggestions for visits each day.

Can Carbó de les Olivas, is the perfect countryside location which offers a quiet and cozy atmosphere without the hustle and bustle of an overpopulated hotel. Instead, this former farmhouse, (now restored to offer eight private rooms,) provides you with an intimate setting, where you are barely aware of other guests' presence.

The proprietor, Michael, is a wealth of information regarding places to visit and things to do. We happened to be interested in touring wineries, and welcomed Michael's recommendations. He was kind enough the drive us to and from the locations and back to the

I highly recommend at Can Carbó. We plan to revisit again later in the spring.
