My husband and I have been to this B&B twice, and we can recommend On the Rocks as being the best B&B we have ever stayed. Mary and Owen , give you a beautiful welcome into their gorgeous home, they are fantastic hosts, and are just like family now. Nothing is a problem, they really do look after your needs 100%, the breakfasts are to die for, and such a great menu, fresh fruit, cereals , and the great Irish fry up, we highly recommend On the Rocks, you will never be disappointed, they even had a birthday gift for my husband, you wouldn’t get that anywhere else, thank you Mary and Owen, yous are fantastic.

This is our second time to stay at on the rocks and we will definitely be back again. Such a fabulous location with a beautiful view over lough Foyle from the b&b. Mary and Owen are such welcoming and accommodating hosts, you are made feel at home from start to finish. The breakfast is fabulous. We booked the lake view room for both our stays and it was just perfect. Thanks again Mary and Owen!

On The Rocks has hundreds of 5 star reviews - and it's no wonder! There are no accolades about this place that haven't been said dozens of times or more. Hopefully, this review will take a slightly different tack. I have arranged 12 golf trips to Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales. On the Rocks has been rarely equaled but never exceeded as a lodging for our golf groups. Four of us recently enjoyed a week in a perfect setting with congenial hosts Mary and Owen, and each of us had a comfortable bedroom each with its own bathroom. There is a comfortable sitting area to relax and enjoy a glass of Irish whiskey as well as the snacks that Mary put out nightly (Owen drove to the local store on the first night to buy our bottle of whiskey). Greencastle is perfectly located for golf in Donegal (Ballyliffin, Rosapenna, Portsalon, Greencastle) and with a 15 minute ferry ride (just 5 minutes from the B&B), easy access to golf at Royal Portrush, Portstewart, Castlerock and more. We played 6 rounds with short but scenic drives. This easy access is but a secondary benefit to the perfect hospitality of Mary and Owen. Do yourself a favor and plan a golf trip to this area and stay at On The Rocks B&B.

On the rocks is by far the best place we have ever stayed. From the minute we arrived we were made feel at home. Mary and Owen were friendly and welcoming sharing their knowledge of the local area as well as being keen to hear about our adventures. Breakfast was exceptional on all 4 days of our stay and little touches like drinks and snacks were very welcome after a hard day's travel. Mary and Owen made our holiday and would recommend them to anyone who is travelling in the area.
