I booked a feature/privilege room in the old building rather than a "standard" room, and wasn't disappointed. The room was more like a suite than a straight bedroom with a spacious sitting area with coffee table and armchairs as well as desk and tv. The bedroom was plenty large enough with a Queen sized bed and a another tv.
The large wardrobe was en-route to the en-suite bathroom both of which were accessed off the sitting room.
We were very pleased with the space and general condition of the accommodation with our only gripe was that the Nespresso coffee machine didn't work.

Room tip: Suggest selection of one of the privilege rooms which although are more expensive, you are rewarded with a stay in the main building.

What a lovely place to spend a lazy Sunday. The staff were friendly and helpful and we had a lovely room to make the sty special.
The meal in the restaurant in the evening has to be rated as amongst one of the best meals I have ever tasted.

Storm was our waitress and despite the unusual name she was everything we could have asked for, informative, knowledgeable and thoroughly pleasant.
Even the chefs went out of their way for us.

We can't wait to go again and will recommend this to all our friends.

Thanks to all at Brandon Hall, we'll see you again soon.

Such a shame, we stayed here for the murder mystery night, we had leak and potato soup for starters, they could have said that the soup was any vegetable and I would have believed them, it was water. They should have provided a straw rather than a spoon it was terrible.
Then we had chicken breast for main, it was unbelievably dry.
The breakfast the next morning finished us off! Please no not go near the sausages!
Black pudding was terrible too, it was amusing watching other customers faces trying the breakfast though! Everyone clearly thought the same!
Oh and you need a new roasting method. It’s still bread when it comes out, and burnt when you put it in for the second time!
The room though was lovely!
The food is the major let down here, it’s enough to put you off.

We stayed here for one night on a groupon deal. The bedroom was clean and a reasonable size, with all the facilities needed. We tried out the pool and sauna, and these were clean and well equipped. At our evening meal, the only option for vegetarians was a veg pasta dish. I did ask the waitress if I could have something a little more special. After consulting with the chefs, I was offered a polenta dish which was very good . This is supposedly going to be put on the menu. The waitress Shelley and all the other staff we met, were all friendly, chatty, and I felt performed their jobs very well. I was a little dubious about going after reading some reviews, but need not have worried. Break fast also was very good.
