What a great place to stay. We stayed in a type of a trulli which had 2 bedrooms, lounge room plus bathroom. It was perfect. We didn’t have a car so walked into the town which took about 30 minutes. We ordered takeaway at night because the restaurant was closed which was a bit annoying. If I did this trip again I’d have based myself here and hired a car from the nearby car rental place. It really was a fabulous place to come back to after a day exploring . The staff were so very kind and extremely helpful. I’d highly recommend staying here and I’m fussy!!

We stayed here for 6 nights at the start of a month touring Italy. The room was clean and comfortable although the wall mounted hairdryer was rubbish. My pet hate! The staff were lovely particularly Christina who was really helpful during our stay. It has a lovely pool and is very quiet during the day. The restaurant is really popular with large groups in the evening so book if you want to eat there. It is run by another family and the menu is not extensive. But what we did eat was extremely tasty and well priced. Loads of pizza options which seem standard for this part of Italy! Good wine list. There is no bar as such. A pool bar was set up during our stay with limited options for drinks. It lacks a bit of atmosphere to be honest but if you want a quiet place to stay it is a good option. The nearby town of Noci does not have a lot going on but if you don’t mind a drive it is well located for Alberobello, Martina Franca etc.

Dear Lynnemoo,
We are sorry about the broken wall mounted hair dryer.
If we had known that, we could have changed it with a new one.
it's important for us to know every disappointing note, remarkable or not.
So, for that, a double thank you for your review.
The staff of Abate Masseria.

Abate Masseria is on the edge of the city of Noci. (For some odd reason our travel agent refers to it as Il Nocino rather than by its proper name.) It is built in resort style, with the guest rooms scattered around the property and with a pool - too cold this early in the season - in the centre. Our room was in a trullo, and was very spacious, with a bed area, sitting area and well-equipped bathroom. There was also a room with bunk beds which we used to store our cases. Everything fitted the style of the trullo, and was in good condition, and the staff were helpful and friendly. The restaurant serves a good buffet breakfast, and at other meal times clearly has a substantial local clientele, often arriving as families or groups. All in all, an excellent place to start our holiday.

The many 5* reviews speak for themselves... this is an incredible place. We stayed for 4 nights immediately after getting married and were in need of total relaxation and a real break, and we found it at Abate Masseria. We’re lucky enough to have lots of previous experience of Italian hospitality but this was another level - the staff were all so warm and friendly. We stayed in a junior suite which was beautiful and comfortable. Dinner at il Briale was excellent and it was perfect to be able to eat on site after busy days driving around exploring Puglia. We’re already planning how and when we can come back!

We have stayed at Abate Masseria several times now and Cristina, Angelica and Mino have always treated us like family. In fact, our son, believes that Cristina is the holiday and is so excited to see her and talks about our holidays with joy.

The Masseria is quiet and private which allows for pure relaxation whilst there but is so perfectly located that you can visit any of the beautiful towns nearby easily. Noci itself is calm and tourist free (a real treat for anywhere near Alberobello!) and the staff at the Masseria have made many wonderful recommendations for meals over the years. The food at the Masseria itself is fantastic too and it’s never too much trouble for the staff to whip up whatever you fancy.

Whenever we are plan to visit Southern Italy we always check availability here first!
