This was a recommendation from a Jewellery shop owner in Alberobello who said we must go as it was some of the best food around and she was right. We didn't book and we doubtful if we would get in on a Sunday but we called in at 11.30 am and they offered us a table. It is advisable to book.
It is a lovely restaurant tucked away down a side street just off the main square. You go into the cellars and it is light with Trulli-type ceilings and several quite small rooms.
We chose the tasting menu which consisted of lots of little appetisers, 2 pasta dishes, a meat course (which we skipped as we were quite full), fruit and a dessert (a plate of little cakes and biscuits. It was all a delight and the house wine was perfect with the food. If you were to choose the antipasti I would recommend you share it and probably skip the dessert which was my least favourite course.
Staff were friendly and attentive but spoke limited English. We actually had a break between courses which in unusual in this part of Italy and was perfect for helping with the digestion.
We had a great lunch and would highly recommend it.
