Be prepared to be amazed! Our lodge fits in perfectly with the surroundings and has elevated views from the balcony over the heavily wooded valley giving an almost surreal effect.
The accommodation was very comfortably appointed with a sitting room / kitchenette and wood burning stove which is lit in the evenings to coincide with return from dinner. A nice touch this but we defy you not to doze off in the comfy sofas.
The treetop view from the bed is equally amazing (hate this word, but it really is!) and my wife just loved the optional outside shower. Our lodge had 2 full en suite bedrooms and a plunge pool and sun deck, separate to the said balcony.
The well manicured grounds are extensive and there is a long and fabulous boardwalk winding through the trees connecting with reception and in-house restaurant (there are other places to eat on the estate). Inquisitive monkeys are likely to pay a visit.
Any downsides? Well, good though it is, we found the in-house restaurant a little lacking in atmosphere.
Overall Tsala is well worth considering.More
