Busy café for the obvious reason and recommend you get there early or prepare yourself to wait if you don't.

There's nothing spectacular about the food but the place itself is in a great spot.

You can sit inside behind the all glass wall or outside; the service is pretty good. Easy to find and parking on Beaconsfield Parade is usually not hard to find either, especially if you don't mind walking along by the sea to get there.

Very attentive and friendly staff, the food is nice but limited choices for vegans (true of most places though). The coffees are rich and strong and of course the location is brilliant.

Our group of 12 enjoyed a great bunch at the Sandbar. Although the cafe appeared 80% full, our meals were served within 10-15 minutes, which surprised us. The meals were reasonably priced and good value for money. For those visiting with elderly or immobile family/friends, the majority of the cafes seating is positioned down half a dozen steps. Dogs are welcome out on the deck, where there are fantastic views of the water.

Yummy food and good coffee. The menu was pretty extensive and offered a good range of food. It was good to have a few specials that were great for the change in weather. Good service.

We met interstate friends for a late lunch on Grand Prix Saturday. We were surprised to find plenty of parking available so that was a bonus. The venue suited us perfectly. We had s lovely view to admire whilst catching up with our friends. The system is simple. A chalk number on the table is all you need to be able to order drinks and food from the bar. The meals are exceptionally good and most reasonably priced. Calamari, fish, prawns, burger etc. could not be faulted. I can't tell you though how much it annoys me to be "touched up" with the drinks. 10 bucks for Carona stubbies! I check out Dan Murphy's regularly and I know a slab costs nowhere near $240. That type of rip off is what will probably have us going elsewhere next time. 6 or 7 bucks I could live with.
