We loved Chateau Naze and the two delightful sisters who run it. Our elderly spaniel also enjoyed it, as the gardens are large and wooded and there are already 2 resident dogs to play with. If you walk a little way up the road, there is path through fields which is also ideal for dog-walking.
The rooms are comfortable and the breakfasts delicious, and sociable, as you share the long table with other guests. Madame 'Marite' prepared wonderful Tart Tatins, Apricot Clafouti, and home-made yogurts with fresh fruit on the 4 mornings we stayed last month. We even had a selection of cheeses a couple of times.
Our only regrets were that:
1) the heated pool wasn't functioning when we stayed, as it needed cleaning, (due to overhanging trees), and one of the main reasons I had chosen this Chateau was the pool.
2) That they don't provide dinner at all, as after a day out visiting other places, we really didn't feel like driving again. Even if they did dinner a few nights a week (and I'm sure the cooking would be superb) it would be welcome, and we'd certainly come to Naze again.

Room tip: We had a spacious front room overlooking the garden and drive. It was lovely.

We were greeted by the charming owner of this fairytale chateau and shown to our superb accommodation. What a super room! We overlooked the gardens and extensive grounds, we had an extremely comfortable bed, and a well appointed bathroom.
Whilst the chateau has been kept thoroughly up to date it is not at the expense of its character. Madame has an on going list of work in progress which is obvious in the fact that everything is so well maintained.
She has 3 WiFi boosters so that it is possible to be on line anywhere in the chateau.
The breakfast was served to her guests at one table. Everything was homemade, even the honey was from their own bees.
My only regret is that we were not staying longer but next time we will.

Room tip: There are only 5 rooms and all are on the same floor.

In my opinion, this is the best chateau in Loire Valley ( and I have visited a lot ). Very nice exterior ( and in the evenings they put light on the chateau in the dark and it looks fabulous!). Also very nice interior! The decor in our room was very pleasant! Good sleep as chateau is very silent. Good wifi. Excellent breakfasts ( not just croissants and jems) in the fairy room with a fireplace, richly arranged table with candles, silver dinner set etc.Very friendly and welcome.

The Chateau de Naze is a real castle that sits in a park. The property has 4 rooms in the main house, but there is also a self catering 'gîte' on the premises. Guests can enjoy the pool; however, when all the guests are present it is a bit crowded. The chateau itself is well kept and gives you a very aristocratic feel. The welcoming hosts are most charming and make you feel at home from the moment you set foot in the place. The rooms are nicely decorated; the bedding is most comfortable and we slept very well . Although the bathroom is not brandnew, it's comfortable and very clean. Although there is no fridge in the room, one is available for the guests. And this might be a place that takes you back in time, wifi is available and working well. In the morning you can expect a complete breakfast with a lot of homemade food. Even the honey comes right from the hives in the garden on your croissant. A nice place close to Saumur to get away from the hustle and bustle of modern life.

Spent a week in this wonderful Château - can't praise highly enough. We were very well looked after, extremely comfortable and beautifully decorated bedrooms, fantastic breakfast with home produced food - didn't want to leave! Excellent base for exploring the stunning Loire Valley. Already looking forward to our next visit
