We had room #14, newly renovated accessible room, big room, big shower stall with seat and bars. Excellent food, great comfortable beds, small fridge, beautiful sandy beach, lake is very clear and clean. The Innkeeper Craig Purcell is there to make sure that his clients are looked after properly. The employees greet you with a genuine smile every time, very efficient and hard working. Suzanne and Robert will be back.

Visited this fine restaurant for the first time last week.

The atmosphere inside and out is very, very nice notwithstanding its location being a bit out of the way. This point made it even more amazing when the meals were delivered. The mussels in white wine sauce was incredible, even tastier, juicier and more exquisite than the ones I had on many occasions in Brussels!

The main course consisted of a rack of baby-back ribs. They were to die for! Meaty, favorable and a portion larger than the plate itself, they were accompanied by lovely and crunchy vegetables and a homemade fries.

The beverage of choice was a fine local Framers Daughter beer, brewed by Whitewater Brewing Company from Cobden, Ontario.

The setting and service were equally outstanding.

Highly recommended and already looking to our next visit!

We stayed one night at this quiet and friendly resort.

We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant attached to the hotel. Both meals were satisfactory, nothing fancy but that was OK with us. Service was efficient and friendly.

Our room had a very comfortable king-sized bed, a good sized refrigerator (twice the size usually in hotel rooms) and a large bathroom.
The room also had a high dresser, two comfortable chairs in front of a flat screen television and the balcony had two chairs.
A few things would be handy: in the bathroom, a small table or shelf to put your toiletries or clothes on; a luggage rack or table of some sort to put your suitcase on; a small table for the balcony. But none of these were absolutely necessary.

The view over the lake was lovely.

We'll visit again. Thank you.

I have been driving by beautiful Golden Lake for years on my way to camping at Algonquin Park. I always wanted to stay here for a few days and this year we did. The Sands is awesome. Our room had two double beds and we could walk rigth out to the beach. Room was very clean and quiet, and quite big, we had plently of space. Beds very comfortable. The restaurant is very good as well. The staff are helpfull and friendly, we felt rigth at home. We'll be back four sure!

Our daughter had her wedding at the Sands... the lake as the back drop was amazing, couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day... The wedding set up was great, their wedding meal was excellent. I would recommend having a wedding at the Sands... our room was bright, inviting and calming as your view was the lake as you walked in the room. Beds were comfy.. my only negative would be that we wished it had blacked out drapes on the windows as one side the sign shone through and at 4:30am the sun was coming through the balcony door... the hotel staff was wonderful... eat at the restaurant the food is very good... overall we enjoyed our wedding and our stay...

Room Tip: I loved our room, 2 queenbeds, top floor. It was quiet and amazing view of the lake
