Great hotel, great food and staff. Kids loved place and has homely feeling. Will go again and recommend to all my friends and family members. If you need any trips arranged to see landscape they can handle

The hotel is very nice, accommodation is definitely very comfortable and personnel is most helpful. We had a slight inconvenience with a payment that hadn't been credited and they were very nice and helpful, being able to solve it promptly. The menu in the restaurant is really very good, I recommend the ceviche (it is fantastic!) and the "carne a lo pobre". The rooms have beautiful terraces and are very spacious. I traveled with my family and we were given a whole cottage, it had a huge living room with kitchen just for ourselves. The only reason I do not give it 5 stars is because the view from the rooms is not so amazing, nice all the same. I would definitely recommend it.

The hotel is beautifully located on the side of a hill with a lovely view over Hango Roa and the sea. It is near the airport but that doesn’t matter because there are only two flights a day. It‘s just a five minute drive to the city center but the advantage of being a little outside is that it’s less crowded and more quiet. Except for the numerous cocks who fulfill their duty loudly.

There are four houses and each house has four rooms with a shared space in the middle, a sort of shared living room incl. a kitchen. The rooms are beautifully decorated and have a balcony. If you get a room in one of the houses more uphill you have a beautiful sea view.

The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. If you need anything, they will arrange it for you. For example I got wet once and they dried all my clothes in the laundry without charging.

The internet is quite slow and only in the restaurant and the reception the WiFi reception is good. But that is an island problem. Currently there is only satellite connection, but a cable is planned.

The food is good and prices are reasonable for a four star hotel on a remote island.

There is a small pool but I didn’t use it because it was too cold for me. If you want you can get a decent but quite expensive massage.

So overall a very good experience, I can fully recommend that hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms on the hill, eg no. 7

We had a most enjoyable stay here. Staff were all very friendly and willing to help with any requests. Close by town and the airport (with only one or two flights a day this is not a problem, we never heard a plane, just makes transfers quick and easy). We rented a car, this was organised by reception to be brought to us with no problem and we could park right outside our room. Loved the how the rooms were configured and the decor is light and fresh. Used the bikes to get into town and to the museum and then walked other days, easy bike or walk, all on the flat and doesn't take long. Breakfast was a great spread every day. Also used the beautiful pool area with comfortable loungers. Could not fault anything about this property or the staff- we loved it! If you are coming to Rapa Nui come here!

I booked this hotel for our recent trip to Easter Island, mainly because of very good reviews on TripAdvisor. Because it was such a big trip, I made reservations about 1 year in advance, in order to get the hotel and room that we wanted. I was looking forward to a hotel where we could relax after long days of sight seeing and hiking. I had read reviews describing the quiet location outside of town, the nice pool and the good restaurant, and it sounded just right.

About 1 month before our trip, I contacted the hotel to confirm. A few days later, I received a reply back, telling me that the hotel had recently changed hands, and that they didn't have any of my credit card info or contact info on file anymore. However, they assured me that my reservation was still active and that everything was ready to go.

Upon arrival, we were greeted at the airport and taken by van to the hotel, just a short distance away. After check-in, we were shown around the hotel grounds. We were told that our room included breakfast, but that after breakfast the restaurant was closed and there was no food or drink service available at the hotel, and that we would need to go into town for meals. After unpacking, we walked into town. This walk was not difficult, but it did take about 40 minutes, and by the time we arrived we were hot and sweaty. After our meal at a local restaurant, there was another hot, long walk back.
Later, we used the free bikes available from the hotel to ride back into town. The ride into town was a gradual downhill all the way and easy, but the way back was a gradual uphill the entire time and very tiring. In addition, most of the ride is on a busy road, and lighting at night is poor.

The hotel grounds are very nice and overall appears to be above standard compared to other hotels on the island. The rooms inside feel like very typical hotel rooms, and are somewhat dated. There is no air conditioning. A fan is provided, which is nice. All rooms have outdoor sitting areas. The pool area is very nice. The pool is made with underwater rocks, which while pretty do make it a little hard to swim without stubbing your toes or hitting your knees.

There is no restaurant on site anymore. There is a typical breakfast laid out each day with the usual meats and cheeses, a hot egg dish, fruits, bread, etc. There is no variation from day to day.

The hotel is generally very quiet, except for the neighbor, who played music every day, all day. This was audible throughout the hotel grounds and made sitting outside a little unpleasant.

Grounds are nice, but there are a lot of stairs. If you have mobility issues, ask for one of the rooms nearer the reception area. At night, the stairs are not well lit, with the lights mounted to shine up into your face so that you can't see the steps. If you have a car you can drive around the back to the upper rooms and park there, bypassing the stairs. Room 9 is private, with nice views. But you do have to walk through the shared area of another villa to get there.

Hotel staff are very friendly, but don't go out of their way to provide more than basic service. Used towels are not picked up in the pool area, and clean towels are not readily replaced. Generally, the hotel grounds feel deserted, with a staff member usually available in the office area for questions. Previous visitors have mentioned the hotel arranging for tours. Staff never inquired if we needed to book any tours. We had made prior arrangements, but this is an example of staff not making an effort to make sure we had everything we needed. We pretty much checked in and then were left on our own.

The real downer for us really was the unavailability of any food or drink on site, given this hotel's distance from town. If you have a rental car and don't mind driving into town and parking and then walking around to find a place to eat, then it won't be a problem. But if you want to get back at the end of a long day of touring in the sun and just want to have a drink by the pool, a leisurely dinner, and then sit outside with a drink, watching the sunset, then this is not the place.

We had reserved 6 days at this hotel. In the end, we only stayed 3 nights, and then moved to another hotel. Bottom line: A nice, clean place to sleep, and not much else. Not worth the $450/night that we paid, even given the local market for hotel rooms.

Room Tip: Rooms nearer the reception have fewer steps. Rooms at the top have nice views but a lot of stairs.
