“Nice real Easter Island Folk music and dance”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 January 2012

The show they perform is a good representation of the real folk music and dance of the island. It last about 1 hour and a half.
Expect tourists participation on the show (optional but enjoyable).
Kids love it.
Good value for money.

“Touristic”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 January 2012

It is a very very touristic show, with girls and boys dancing and singing in costumes, people watching and being asked on stage to dance with them and great smiles.
But believe me: it is kind of a touristic trap and there are other things to do on Easter Island.
they do not sell food, only drinks, and the performing artists are well trained but still amateurs. After one hour of these songs and dances, you will fell happy when the show will come to an end.

“Authentic Rapa Nui atmosphere”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 January 2012

Even though the Kari Kari ballet obviously caters to tourists, it's not cheesy and you have the feeling the dancers are really enjoying it. It's better to get there early in order to score seats in the front (the benches in the back are not as good). Recommended!

“Talented group of individuals who have a lot of stamina”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 January 2012

OK, I normally don't go for what can be considered a touristy polynesian review/show, but this one was a good one. The dancers really have lot of enthusiasm and energy for their art (how they can continue to keep smiling after what would be considered a rigorous cardio work out is beyond me) and it was fun. Tickets ran about $20 for general seating and I think $24 for front row seating. The extra $4 was worth it outside of being an easier target for audience participation. If you opt for the $20 ticket, try to get there early to grab a good seat. Latecomers may be relegated to the top of the bleachers in the back. The show lasts for about an hour. When the dancers were on, they were impressive for the physicality of the dances themselves, costumes, and music. The only negative I personally had was a little too much time with dragging tourists to the stage. It's nice to know there are a lot of good sports out there!
