Firstly they got the bookings wrong, we asked for 4 tents and they had only 3. Secondly , the pool was the main features for us as we had lots of kids with us.......this was a sewage pit!
the tents are somehow run down, the tents definitely need replacing.
We definitely could not stay here but the management was courteous enough to shift us to the main lodge which is the Voi wildlife lodge, otherwise we may have had to return all the way back to Nairobi!

We had booked and paid to stay at Manyatta camp in tsavo east on the 1st of January for two nights. When we checked in on the 1st at 9am, it felt like we weren't even expected. No welcoming staff or drinks and our rooms weren't even ready. Do not get taken in by the photos on the website, the real deal is quite different. It might have been good at some point but looks like lack of maintenance and efficient staff has taken its toll on the camp and its facilities. Eventually we shifted to its sister lodge called Voi Wildlife Lodge, facilities were better but in no way is it a luxury lodge. The watering hole is their main attraction, which saved the day as it attracted lots of elephants. That was quite a remarkable sight.

Its a great trip and we still here on our second night. Great place to chill out, nice service, pool in tent, good tasty food.

Anytime would come again to unwind. Great game available near the camp too as your close to Park Entrance.

Wow, wow, wow!
Stayed two nights at Manyatta Camp and it was a definite highlight. Tent 3 backed on to the game park and you could watch the animal pass by while relaxing in your personal pool on the back patio. There was a small fridge to keep the beers chilling in the African heat, which was a nice treat. The room was great, comfortable bed, clean towels. The food was good. Manyatta camp is a minute walk from Voi Wildlife Lodge and you could go to the lounge there and sit 30 ft. from the watering which attracted so many animals! It was so suberbly awesome!!
If you get the chance to visit Kenya, I would definitely recommend this place! There were so many animals spotted from the resort that if you could manage to grab a safari, it would be ok, because you could see the animals from your room! So rad!

Room Tip: Rooms 1-8 back onto the national park! Best views!

We were there in October. We were the only four visitors that day.
Service was very good and food were delicious.
Our room was big with all modern conveniences. Nice pool too.
We switched on poollight after sunset. A lot of big bugs flew to direction of light to the pool. So don't switch on the poollight if you want to swim there.
It was bad time to see animals. It was raining and the elephants had gone above to the mountains. We can see only one antilope.
