After mentioning The Pig in Muck to a few friends we decided a lunchtime visit was a good idea. It turned out to be a fantastic idea, we hadn’t booked and though they was busy they made room for us.
Good Friday, it had to be fish, we all decided on the standard portion of fish n chips, good size portion without being over the top, tasty crunchy light batter covered the white fish, chips perfectly cooked, mushy peas and a salad garnish.
Driving meant I couldn’t enjoy the home brew, it certainly looked a good pint and the others sampled more than one or two. We didn’t have sweets but I will say the coffee’s good too.
Overall Very good food and hospitality, a very warm welcome, made to feel a regular.
We loved the postcard photos in the toilets, had a good giggle over them and the toilets, spotlessly clean.
We all came away feeling full and happy.
Thank you for fitting us in and thank you for starting our Easter off to a lovely start....

Today we visited The Pig in Muck and had a very good and nourishing Sunday Carvery Lunch. Various meats were laid on. All cooked to perfection. Fresh potatoes and vegetables. All cooked perfectly. The Gentleman serving the meats was very helpful. You were spoilt for choice. Never eaten there before but will be again. Lovely pudding also. Found room for it but only just. My husband also enjoyed his beer. He had 3 excellent pints and will certainly visit again if only for the beer. Nice to see a village pub full of people eating good food and drinking excellent beer.

This is a really good pub.
Great atmosphere, lovely warm welcome and fantastic food. The carvery, in particular, is second to none - and not expensive!

The best carvery ever barre none! I only wished we lived closer so that could be here more often.
Four delicious well cooked meats, cheesy mash, cauliflower cheese, giant Yorkie's, heaps of veg...hungry yet? Make sure you book ahead as its very popular! Did I mention excellent service and locally brewed craft ales? Enjoy!
