Friendly bar, great food warm sunshine to match the welcome. A beer garden and a comfortable room what more could be required. A good breakfast? that is available also We wold not hesitate to return.Though it is impossible to step in the same river twice.

Quintessential English Inn. Great olde worlde pub with a typical English bar with characters to match. Restaurant served fine food at a fraction of the price in nearby Port Isaac. The breakfast was very hearty.
The room was spacious, quiet (room at back), warm and comfortable beds.
The location was superb only 3 miles from Port Issac. With its free-off road parking this was a much better choice than trying get to your over-priced accommodation in Port Isaac.
Geoff was a very good host with lots of helpful advice with a sense of humour.
Nearby is a magnificent old church and grave yard worth exploring.

Room tip: Away from the main road, like us.

Visited this pub with friends who live locally for diner after reading reviews on Trip Advisor which seemed quite positive. Friendly enough staff and owner and good selection of beers and spirits. Service was prompt and efficient but sadly the food was very average, typical pub fare, plenty of it but lacking any quality. Would not recommend this estabishment

We called in here on our way back from Tintagel. We ordered Beef & Ale Pie and 2 portions of Scampi. The Beef & Ale Pie was great, Really tasty, hot and enjoyable. The scampi dishes were ok but could have been hotter.
