“Peaceful and stylish modern retreat in Sussex”
Reviewed 2 August 2016 for a stay in July 2016

We booked two lodges, Cedar and Maple, for a week's vacation with our family of four and three sets of visitors. The lodges have ample space for four, lots of natural light, and beautiful planting around them. The kitchens are well-equipped and other thoughtful touches include an eclectic selection of DVDs and good quality bath products. We were able to get to Glyndebourne within 25-30 minutes, and there are plenty of interesting things to do and good walks within a similar striking distance. The owners are easily contactable by text and very responsive. Thoroughly recommend!

“Beautiful Accommodation in a lovely, peaceful setting”
Reviewed 16 October 2015 for a stay in September 2015

We could find absolutely nothing to fault Cedar Lodge. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and the sitting room was light and airy, comfortably furnished and with long windows that looked out over the nicely planted patio area and, to one side, across to distant views of the Downs. The master bedroom had an en-suite shower room with full length shower cubicle. The the bed was very comfortable. There is a further bathroom with bath and overhead shower.

The lodges are very handily situated about 10 mins walk to Hassocks station with regular trains to Brighton (2 stops). We especially liked Ditchling - about 10 mins. drive away - with its attractive and friendly pubs and excellent tea shop. Walking along the Downs Way at Ditchling Beacon is a real joy, with panoramic views of the surrounding countryside.

We had a wonderful, relaxing week at Cedar Lodge and would not hesitate to recommend it to our friends.

“Absolutely first class”

Cedar Lodge is one of three almost identical holiday houses set in a huge expanse of lawn. They are almost brand new, fully equipped and professionally managed. We were impressed by the high standard of equipment and finish and the touch of a welcome pack of food and essentials to get you started until you do your first shopping was very much appreciated. The houses are oriented so that no deck overlooks any other and the whole place exudes and air of peace and quiet. Barbecues (Weber type) are available on request. We were happy to have visitors for meals and and overnight stay. The town of Hassocks is only a 5 minute drive away and Burgess Hill not much further (if you need a really big supermarket.) A perfect place to stay if you are visiting Sussex and have a car.
