A great economical place with free Japanese breakfast. The rooms are small but it is clean and comfortable with enough space for working on laptop computers. LAN connection as well as WI-FI in all rooms and lobby area. Humidifier available in the room. Helpful friendly staff. Registration and breakfast area is on the 2nd floor. A very nice restaurant, Plus Casa Lounge ($$-$$$) is on the first floor.

The room had everything, but it was tight getting around. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast buffet was amazing. Centrally located and less than a 5 minute walk, with luggage, to the train station.

Room tip: The rooms are tight. The double bed was pushed up against the wall, which meant that one person had to climb over the other.

Our room was large enough for us, well equipped and comfortable. Everything worked efficiently - as you'd expect. The buffet breakfast was fine, too. In fact it seemed surprisingly good value for money. Of course, it's also characterless and boringly corporate, but to be honest that was a nice change from struggling up from a tatami mat to try to find a toilet in the middle of the night.

Room tip: Try to avoid smokers' rooms unless you like the lingering smell of tobacco. There aren't many twin rooms, which is why we ended up in one.

It's is a very good business hotel located very close to the Hikone railway station (less than 5 minutes walk). The rooms are small but very clean with all the toiletries and amenities. Superb speed wifi. Buffet breakfast is tasty and served between 6.30 till 9.30 on the second floor close to the reception desk. The dining place is not so spacious come earlier in any big tourist group stays at the hotel. Walking distance to the main entrance of the Hikone Castle is roughly 10-15 minutes. To the Lake Biwa's shore - 30-40 minutes. Hotel dose not serve dinner but nearby (and on the other side of the station) there are many eateries and restaurants. Sleep quality is good - no disturbing noise from the passing trains. Staff is professional and helpful.
Free-of-charge coffee (machine brew) is available at the reception area from 5.00 p.m. till midnight. They offer even laptops for rent. Recommended place.

Room tip: Ask for the room facing mountains (it's the AEON side).

We stayed here for our last night on the way back to Kansai Airport. It's very near to the train station and there is free parking if you are driving - no shortage of spaces. Everything was efficient as we'd come to expect in Japan. Room clean, comfortable and adequate - we didn't pay for luxury. Buffet breakfast included and better then we'd expected. The Castle is walkable - go through the train station as Google maps takes you a long way round. Would stay here again.
