On the road we saw the sign for this beach, the same sign you find everywhere in Okinawa to indicate a beach. At the entrace we said we were going to the beach asking if the entrance was free. The guy at the gate said us it was free and gave us instructions for parking. Once on the beach, when we had already taken off our shoes and clothes and when we had already positioned our beach towels, a man came to us asking if we wanted to swim. We really didn't get the meaning of such an incomprehensible question and we answered that it was possible we would want to swim. At that moment he started blathering we couldn't stay there cause it was a private beach and if we wanted to swim we have to pay 1000¥ per person. I've never heard something like that, I don't think you can prohibit someone to swim. I don't think the ocean can be private but, anyway, the very thing I don't understand is why they didn't say that the very first time we asked upon our arrival!!

Great views, food, service and amenities with its own private beach and multiple restaurants...The private beach is "closed" for swimming in November but is open for jet skis, banana boat and glass bottom boat rides

As a couple, we spent 4 days in this hotel. It's a huge property with a lot of facilities - lots of shops, 2 pools (not infinity), public bath, gym, water sports rental, awesome beach. The place is prettier than the pictures. Sunset is magnificent. The sea breeze in the balcony is just great.

Hotel service makes a lot of sense - if you skip breakfast, they are happy to serve you lunch buffet for free; shops close at 10 pm; message services until 1 am.

The only thing to pay attention is transfer - it will cost you around 15,000 yen from the airport to the hotel by taxi.

We took a package which includes dinner, which you can choose from 3 restaurants. Chinese food is so so. Didn't try the Italian one. Western buffet is ok. Coffee in the cake shop is the best! The French restaurant was always full so we didn't get the chance to enjoy it.

We also went to Terrace Club and used their huge Jacuzzi pool. 2000 Yen each person, thoroughly enjoyed.

Rooms are pretty much the same. A little dated but it's all the same in Okinawa. They have some cottage rooms with private pools. It's ridiculously expensive but you should try if it is within your budget.

Room Tip: Try to get a room in the middle of the property so you can see both sides of the beach

The Busena Terrace is a large property with sprawling grounds a great pool area overlooking the pristine waters of the East China Sea. The hotel itself is nice with spacious rooms all with great views. If you are looking for a relaxing beach holiday than The Busena Terrace ticks a lot of boxes particularly if you have children. The dinning options are extensive albeit expensive the food very good and the staff happy to help although English is not spoken or understood by many of the staff. This is not a hotel for the party couple or if you are looking to have a week long party but a quite and relaxing retreat.
