“All the amenities included”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 October 2011

The hotel offers all the amenities that anyone could need making this a great business or vacation base. I thought the property was conveniently located to Narita, the airport and other local businesses such as restaurants, grocery stores, etc. The hotel offers free shuttle pick up to and from the airport, and also to Narita. The California Restaurant had excellent food both for breakfast and dinner (I did not eat lunch there). I can't say enough about the friendly staff. The hotel is not as convenient to Tokyo as some might like, but the staff will help arrange transportation to and from. I liked staying in this are because it was very quiet, which was a plus for me. I will definitely stay here when my future travel takes me to the Tokyo area.

Room Tip: Tower rooms are best

I have stayed at the Radisson during a stop-over. Online booking was easy, complimentary shuttle bus easy to find and on time, 2 minute check-in, very friendly & most helpful personnel, rooms recently refurbished, absolutely spotless, only bathroom looking a bit dated (but super clean), free broadband/wifi, English TV channels.

The hotel is a 15-20 minute drive by shuttle bus away, but well worth this minor inconvenience.

Could not have asked for better value or service and will definitely stay at the Radisson Narita again.

Stayed overnight at the Radisson Narita after a delayed flight coming in late. Quite familiar with the hotels in Narita city, and I'm surprised that the Radisson is rated #1 on Tripadvisor in 2011. While the property offers quite a bit of surrounding greenery, and the rooms are quite spaceous by comparison to hotels in Tokyo or other metropolis in Japan, the hotel looks dated and the rooms in the Garden wing could afford some uplift. Unlike most Japan hotels, the bathroom in the Garden wing has a toilet that reminds me of public toilets in schools. What happened to the electronic toilets? The gym is 24 hours, and the outdoor pool is quite spaceous, but there is a charge (like most hotels in Japan). There's a gift-shop/convenience store near the lobby but it closes by 9pm or so. I ate 3 meals at the California Restaurant, beginning with the evening buffet - the food is decent but not spectacular. Had a late-checkout without issue and the Reception staff are all quite friendly. Compared to other International chains, the Radisson seems a little further away - the ride from airport termnial 1 was over 20 minutes! A couple of other points to note is that the Air Conditioning is now pre-set so to minimize over-usage of electricity. At night, the hotel lobby, along with the hallways have dimmed lights to save energy - even the vending machines no longer have their lights on! My last visit to Narita was Jan 2011, and I don't know if this is due to reduced tourism in Narita, but there is no Narita Circle bus that serves the Radisson hotel - you have to use the hotel shuttle bus if you want to visit Narita city or Aeon Mall/Narita Station bus depot (or you can take a cab).

Room Tip: If you want a bigger room, stay at the Garden wing. If you want a newer room (but smaller), book the...

Stayed 3 nights in the hotel and was impressed. I stayed in the tower and the room, although small, was perfect for my needs. The bed was comfy, although the pillows were a bit overstuffed. The AC worked GREAT (the controls are on the side table beside the bed). TV stations were limited but that's not a bad thing. The pool area and grounds are beautiful. They have an hourly shuttle to Narita City and the temple and Aeon Mall. And they have shuttles to the airport. Very convenient facility. The breakfast buffet is awesome!

Room Tip: Get a tower room - smaller rooms but newer.

One hour by highway bus to Tokyo, but perfect if you have to stay overnight between connections in Narita, with free transportation to and from the airport.

Good restaurant , small "sports bar" and "beer garden" (in season). Two nice pools indoors and out, both suitable for lap swimmers, small gym with free weights and a few machines, tennis court (which are usually busy) in a small park-like setting

Free shuttle to downtown Narita 4-6 times a day (very picturesque shrine in town and train to Tokyo).

Rooms are somewhat larger than typical Japanese hotel. "Tower" rooms are smaller, but have been recently re-furbished , garden rooms are more dated, especially bathrooms, but have "shojii" which block out all noise and light to guarantee a good night's sleep.

The staff is very helpful. The laundry service is outstanding if you like heavily starched WHITE shirts. I do, and it is quite reasonable for any major city
