This hotel lives up to the pictures....and more! The service and welcome was genuine and friendly and the hotel as spotlessly clean, neat, tidy and really beautiful. The furniture and fixtures were classy, modern, and colourful as well as comfortable. Our room was large and had a king sized bed - it was even more comfortable than our own bed a home with extra pillow and blankets if you needed them. There was a fridge, TV (which actually didn't work all week, despite talking to Reception about it!), comfortable chairs, wardrobe space and AC and heating. The bathroom was large with the most fantastic shower I have ever experienced with plenty of room for your own things.
Every day the room was cleaned and we were provided with clean, white towels.
The breakfast (not sure if it was free or not, as advertised, but we had to pay £20 for the whole week for both of us) was varied with cereal, wonderful coffee, cakes, fruit, yoghurt, hot food, bread and juices. Plenty of choice and taken overlooking the harbour!
The setting was perfect, views over the quiet harbour and the beach only 5 minutes away - down 155 steps! There was some rubbish on the beach (seems to be an ongoing problem in Sicily) but if you keep walking right from the hotel, along the beach, you will come to a quiet, sandy and rubbish free cove. We had it to ourselves several times. No facilities open in October on the beach but that was ok for us.
You can get a bus to Palmero - there is really excellent tourist centre who can arrange trips and transfers on the main street. You can get timetables from here. There are not many buses or trains so a car would be helpful.
Unfortunately the pool is very small and the spa in limited in times it is open and it's 20 euros per person.
There was only 1 restaurant open when we were there in October although the weather was perfect - 20-25 degrees.
If you are happy to make your own entertainment and be resourceful, this is the place for a relaxing beach holiday in a fantastic, welcoming hotel.
I would highly recommend it!

Room Tip: 106 was lovely - views over the harbour

We walked past the hotel when we first arrived in the area and thought what an amazing place it would be to stay - Next time. I later booked the hotel for 1 night as a surprise to my then girlfriend whilst we stayed at accommodation near by that had been a little disappointing ! The hotel and spa were so lovely it felt and the view from the restaurant were so romatic i felt compelled to use the occasion to propose to my Girlfriend. She said yes, so the Marina hold very fond memories for me. The staff really got behind the idea and helped with the delivery of the ring to the table and with playing her favorite song over the restaurant PA. All in all - couldn't have been better looked after.

We stayed in Balestrate and I loved the area and the hotel. The room is very comfortable, has a beautiful ocean view , nice staff. and as I was exploring the area and finding a nice place to eat lunch and get alo g with tbe locals. At night the best was to eat in tbe rlmantic restaurant of the hotel, where you can enjoy the lounge and tbe view ( they open only at 8 PM) but it's so good and stays in your memory. Irecommend!

This is our 3rd visit to this hotel and the town of Balestrate, as always the hotel staff are friendly, the local bars and nice and the beach is only a short walk away!

If you are expecting something trendy then don't go to this town, it's all about people, family and a warm welcome!

We ate in the seafood restaurant for our wedding anniversary, the staff were very attentive and the food was amazing, couldn't be fresher!

There are some great local restaurants as well, just look out for all the locals dining then follow them in.

Balestrate and Marina spa we will be back again

Thank you so much!
