Jim and Jane are very welcoming and friendly, their taste in décor and standards throughout the accommodation is top class, very good value for money and would certainly stay longer with them next time around...Peter and Pat Pinfield Droitwich Spa , Worcestershire , England

The best holiday we have had as a family of 3, fully enjoyed it!

Jim and Jane are wonderful people, hosts and friends who goes out of their way to make you as comfortable as you can be.

The Pinotage suite is a wonderful one bedroom, tastefully decorated, fully equipped unit that we loved! Its on the ground floor so we had quick access to the awesome saltwater pool and our own private braai (BBQ) area. The views from Highcliffe house on Gordons Bay and Strand was just beautiful and close to the beach, shops, restaurants and Monkey Town (which my 2 year old LOVED)!

A definite return from us when where that side of the word again.

A home away from home!

“Holiday of a lifetime”

I was blown away by the high standard of facilities offered. There was not one thing I needed to ask for and the quality of service was exemplary. From the fine linens to the little personal touches such as co-ordinated colored bath lotions and a welcome basket and bottle of wine. I stayed for five weeks and felt completely at home. Nothing was too much trouble and I so enjoyed evenings at the cosy bar meeting fellow guests and being entertained by my gracious hosts. They went out of their way to share the highlights of the area with me and give me a sense of the history. There is close proximity to Cape Town, Table mountain, the Garden route, many fine wineries and seaside resorts such as Hermanus (whale watching) all easily accessible. I was traveling alone and could not have felt more comfortable thanks to the warm treatment I received. I shall return and will highly recommend Highcliffe House to all my friends and encourage them to visit.

“Warm and friendly accommodation with fantastic views over Gordons Bay”

We have stayed at highcliffe house for our last two holidays to SA. The accommodation is excellent with fantastic views of the entire bay. All the rooms are very tastefully laid out with everything needed for a great holiday. Also, the directions given, made the guest house very easy to find. We find Mr and Mrs Yeomans extremely helpful when trying to decide where to go and how to get there. They have so much local knowledge about the entire Cape, especially the Western Cape, it's like having your own tour guide on tap. We found it very useful, knowing the best places to visit without wasting valuable holiday time. If you like golf, there is apparantly an abudance of top quality golf courses locally , unfortunately we don't play. Also, the guest house is ideally situated close to Sir Lowrys pass which is regarded as the gateway to the Garden Route. We drove from Gordons Bay to Port Elizabeth and would highly recommend it. The scenery and stopping off places are an experience not to be missed. We especially like the idea of staying close to the winelands - another great experience with many of the wine estates open for tastings and include top quality restaurants with fantastic views and reasonable prices . Most of their wines are excellent and I would recommend a day or two visiting the estates in the Stellenbosch region. Cape Town and the best place to view whales in the Cape, Hermanus, are both only a 45 minute drive away. We will be staying at Highcliffe House for a third time later this year.
