Through recommendations of others on Tripadvisor we chose Kinnaber B&B for a one night stay in Edzell. We were attending a wedding at Balbegno Castle, not far from Fettercairn.
We were given the Blue Room (twin bed with en-suite). As others have said: Anne and Jim made us very welcome. The B&B was spotlessly clean, well appointed. As the street is so quiet, we had an excellent night sleep. The breakfast we chose was continental: yoghurt, lovely fruit bowl for cereal and toast and tea. We turned down the tempting full Scottish breakfast, but is available if you wish. Really, you can't go wrong staying here. As we returned late from the wedding, Jim provided a front door key to the B&B. There are only 2 rooms, so booking early is recommended. Thank you again Anne and Jim.

Room Tip: I'm sure the green room would be fine too. For taxi: we can recommend Dial-a-Cab in Edzell. The...

Lovely B&B in a quiet road. Good room and en-suite. Nice hosts. You can't go wrong here!

The optional scrambled egg and smoke salmon for breakfast was a delightful bonus :)

This B&B is just lovely. I arrived a bit early so sat in the lovely garden, which after a long day traveling was a nice treat. I was staying in Edzell to be close to Drumtocty Castle where I was attending a wedding.
My room was beautiful - the blue room, with an ensuite. The bed was comfy, the shower was great and the welcome is warm. Good quality wifi was a great surprise as well.
Anne & Jim are great hosts, who are flexible on breakfast times and are happy to recommend interesting sites in the area and which roads to take to avoid the dual carriage way boredom.

Would strongly recommend this B&B to anyone who is in this beautiful area.

Room Tip: Blue room overlooks the street - which is very quiet, and has a lovely ensuite.

Having stayed in 5 bed &breakfast establishments in the last month Kinnaber was miles ahead in every respect in areas as diverse as Tain Kirkwall North Kessock &Aboyne! Can only reiterate what other people have said that Anne &Jim have created a gem of a b &b. Will recommend it to all my friends.

When fishing on the North Esk we regularly stay with Anne and Jim at Kinnaber. We are always so warmly welcomed and they go our of their way to make the stay memorable. After a long days travel the lovely clean, fresh beds are a delight and the breakfast is to die for. Annes Smoked Salmon and Scrambled Egg is divine! David and Tig.

Room Tip: Both Rooms are excellent- quiet side street.
