If you are in The Dandenong Rangers this tea room is a MUST. Nine of our group had lunch on a Friday 28th April, we were lucky and got 2 tables next to each other very promptly (the time was 11.30am). The tearoom does NOT take bookings so you may have to wait. The service was excellent and we did not have to wait very long for our order. Some of the choices we had were Homemade Soup with crusty large loaf roll; scones jam and cream; Fruity Baked Custard with cream and Ice Cream; Welsh Rarebit to name a few. Take not the servings are more than generous and from what I saw of another customers Ice Cream Sundae it was huge, enough for two. The Miss Marple décor and teapot collection was amazing. Very highly recommended.

We popped in for afternoon tea in the late afternoon. The place was very busy, tables very close to each other, you could hear the conversation of the people next to your table very clearly so it lacked privacy. We got our table pretty quickly. We've got window table which was excellent but I was a bit disappointed to see artificial flowers in the pots outside the window, mixed with the real plants. Somehow it didn't do the trick. We waited about 15 minutes for the waitress to take the order. After that we waited on our order close to 30 minutes. Coffees came only warm and water I've ordered never arrived so mu husband had to get up and remind the waitress we're still waiting on the water. My serve of bread and butter pudding came huge, with lots of cream and ice cream. It was so big it would be enough for 2 people. It looked delicious but for my taste was away too sweet. My husband had a chicken pie which seemed to be very popular. I've tasted it and, as my husband commented, it was very average. It lacked chicken, the size of the pie was generous but not much meat in it unfortunately. It would be good if it was served with a bit of salad or something, eating just a plain pie was a bit overwhelming. We've decided that we will pop in again sometime in the future, to try scones and let's see what happens. They may be a better pick.

If you haven't tried is place....you really should!
Can be hard to get into, always fully booked. Really good food, great hot drinks, warm service, but if you don't like a tight squeeze maybe not for you. But well worth the wait for great food.

We went after lunch so just had scones and tea. It was Anzac Day and the restaurant was very busy. The lovely woman at the desk managed to get a table for us. Everyone took great care of us. The scones and homemade jam were delicious. Even though they were busy we weren't made to feel like we had to rush. Very lovely spot. Highly recommended

Just out for coffee, thought we would see if we could get a table here & we were in luck.
Of course as soon as we sat down and saw a couple of the desserts on near by tables we succumbed & ordered the sticky date pudding - delicious! The staff were lovely, efficient and accomodating. Great way to finish off a lovely day.
