We've made many 'whisky tour' visits to Speyside over the years, but this cottage is definitely our preference. It's ideally located near the river Spey with its beautiful scenery and within walking distance of some excellent whisky bars. Comfortable accommodation, with plenty of room for everyone, and always a very warm welcome from the owners. Always a bit sad to go home at the end of the week as it's so easy to feel at home there.
Comfortable and homely cottage accommodation.. so easy to step in and feel right at home in Craigellachie. Easy parking and unloading.
Short walk to Highlander whisky bar, Craigellachie Hotel whisky bar and Copper Dog bar, and the Fiddichside Inn. A few minutes walk to Telford's bridge on the Spey. The 65-mile Speyside Way runs along the river just behind the house; walk down to Aberlour, or 18 miles North to Spey Bay on the coast.
Ideal base for touring the Speyside region and the beautiful Moray Firth. So many whisky distilleries nearby in Rothes, Dufftown, Aberlour, and around Speyside.
We've stayed here four times for our annual whisky trips, and we're booked again for next year! But even without the whisky, we'd return to this lovely and peaceful part of Scotland.
